Agreed Episode I Jedi could have simply stop being so pacifist and narrow minded, they could have ended slavery. though the thing is, a new kind of Jedi being “balanced”, just means being more violent when necessary (a badass hero instead of goodie two shoes, basically), which is a good thing, because that ensures vanquishing evil instead of following the Force like drones. notice in Episode I, Obi wan noticed something elusive, but the code made Quin Gon make him not pursue what is obviously someone of the dark side, because of the stupid code having them just let the Force carry them instead of thinking for themselves.
it seems Luke just wants to establish a new order so the “good” Knights don’t end up extinct, don’t be like those dam Gridanians in FFXIV that refuse to help those that the elementals reject, and not make mistakes like ignore the suffering of the innocent unless the Force tells them to do something about it.
though dark side knights are probably going to stay extremist dark. even if they go “balanced” dark, they will stilll be enemies of the other side. and even if they join forces, their ideologies would still clash, and the Dark Side would influence others to break the balance once more.
Episode VIII would lame if the other Knights of Ren dont jump in the action. Kylo definitely had others with them during the destruction of the apprentices.
it would be lame if the flashback doesnt have lightsaber fights between the good apprentices, and the Knights of Ren. what. did Luke only give Kylo a lightsaber and everyone else just had sticks?
and its interesting in the trailer, when she’s running on the battlefield, Rey still has her Episode VII hairstyle, that means she went to that planet that’s in conflict right after training. (notice Millenium Falcon), which lightsaber she using though, the new built one?

think most fans would think that would insult Star Wars integrity. flying without jetpacks or vehicles is more of a DC and Marvel thing.
Force jump is one thing, maybe Force gliding can slide,
but flying would just… be seen as ridiculous and dumb for Force users. it would also make the duels look cheesy, like a Dragon Ball with lightsabers, the duels would have less weight and impact to them, and less dependence and thrills fed from the enviornment they fight in.
if they go to those extremes, that would also lessen the value of vehicles.
well, they could do worse, though perhaps they know where to draw the lines.
