Had the nerdiest no-hard-feelings argument with family members over the holidays. They insisted that there are only eight Star Wars movies, not nine. They feel the cinema-release Clone Wars movie doesn’t count because it’s animated.

I’ve all but accepted that they will never be able to recreate the magic of the original trilogy at this point.
There is only 5 Star Wars Movies, the Trilogy, Force Awakens and Rouge One.

The Two Ewok TV Movies were never cannon.
The Prequel Trilogy do not Exist.

I took my Dad to see Rogue One over the holidays. While I still think it’s a decent entry into expanding the Star Wars lore, you have to heavily rely on the other movies to give characters or things talked about relevance. This movie almost forces you to watch the Star Wars saga in Episode order.
I really hope that the Han Solo movie can stand completely on its own.
