Commentating on the “fan fiction” part
There’s still some decades lost on Luke’s life. He was supposed to be one of the greatest Jedi (yeah, thanks Rian Johnson for ruining that), and he’s a key figure in the Star Wars mythos. It makes sense to have a new saga showing his further adventures.
On one hand I’m tired of everything connected to these 3 trilogies. On the other it’d be neat showing Luke’s adventures and how he became the god of Jedi and destroyed the ultimate evil etc etc.
But…why can’t we just move on to something else? Such wasted potential with SW.

There’s a lot more. Rangers, Acolyte and some others shows will be starred by new characters.
So, everyone will have something for them.
As for a Luke series, we’ll probably see Grogu there again, which would be awesome.

Mandalorian is like 90% original content and there you have whiners complaining because one or two well-known characters pop out to play very limited roles. You’re so pathetic.
Call me crazy but there’s enough galaxy of stuff in star wars that you could tell a story without any OT characters involved to potentially ruin ala the ST. If you want to plant a bit of a backstory for the ST fine.
For me it’s not really that it was just luke appearing. We know lukes story. How about continuing a story that doesn’t have an end for other somewhat popular characters.

Leia and Luke are some of the most prominent characters in the galaxy, one the head of the new Jedi order and the other the most important commander of the Rebellion.
They were still active during those eras (probably more active than ever); if you have big events related to the Jedi or the fight against the Empire in that era, there’s always a chance they get involved at least in some extent, even in very limited roles.
Then you go to freaking complain that Luke appeared in like 5 minutes of a 600 minutes series so far. What a crybaby.

I’m all for it. We havent filled in Vader’s rise to power in live acrion.plus it’s only 4 episodes or something rediculously small. I think that’s something important that should be noted… Alot of the people freaking out are missing the fact some of thsse are super short mini series and not a planned full season.
I’d also support a series based in the Vader comics too.
