Star Wars Thread

That’s a good question along with

Summary

Why didn’t Luke arrest Gideon?
Lukes knowledge of mandos is Boba being clownshoes and being devoured by the sarlacc.

All the his hype for Luke at the end … Where’s the hype for what has to be a guaranteed live action depiction of Mandalore and all the storyline that’s going to entail.
At the end of season 2 Din has no ship of his own,no grogu, and the darksaber on an imperial cruiser with Bokatan presumably heading to Mandalore.

Most SWs fans knowledge of Mandos is about on par with Lukes. I loved the episode but it also confirmed to me that a lot of SWs fans want fan service more then anything really. Like Rogue 1 was a good Movie but people only talk about Vader. Same here, havent much of shit said about the episode aside from Luke where people are creaming their pants.

I marked out more for Sasha Banks…but yeah.

i think you gotta give it a few days. i can hear the fucking think piecs about how it fits into the franchise going now. atm people are hyped…but m starting to see more posts about people being disappointed in the finale and the luke reveal. but i personally dont have an issue with it, it makes sense to me for him to be involved more in the background. Its not like its skywalker ft mando. the rebuilding of the order is a long ass process. Im really more interested how they are gonna retcon grogu into the franchise. how does he fit into the grand scope of it all…because he is really powerful.

The better fan service would have been to have the surprise be Ezra. The sequel trilogy ruined Luke for myself and countless others. I get he needs "fixed"but with the teasers presented in “the jedi” luke doesn’t expand on the foundation laid out for the “expanded” universe. I would have had grogu leave with ezra for a teaser for the Ahsoka series and weave enough plotlines for a “defenders” style team up vs the inevitable Thrawn showdown.

Wut?
Most of the fans didn’t watch rebels, or clone wars.
Luke is far better known.

Plus we don’t know what they got planed for Ezra yet, making him appear now might ruin it.

We have to wait and see.

Then why tf are they watching the mandalorian?

This show should’ve been kept skywalker free and brought the B tier characters from Clone Wars and Rebels to the forefront. You can even make a sequel trilogy out of them and write the real st off With Ezra going back to the world between worlds or the damn time stone from the lego star wars special( btw that was a shit recommendation darksakul. Keep sleeping on that y’all :joy:).

So gate keeping it is then?

Honestly looking from comments everywhere, and talking to actual few if any people watched the animated shows also watched the Mandalorian. Most of the Mandalorian fans at the most recent watched the prequels, some haven’t even watched that.

It does not matters what they have seen or didn’t see.

B tier? WTF?

Here Mr oh you better have watched Clone wars and Rebels but anything that don’t fit in your narrow view is shit huh?

I’m familiar with some major characters however not really a big Star Wars fan but I watch The Mandalorian simply because it’s a dope show. Which speaks to the quality of it if a guy like me can get invested🤷🏾‍♂️

And I second Rouge One being awesome as fuck, loved that movie. I like the more grounded take on Star Wars if that makes sense

No it’s shit because it’s literally a fucking infinity stone in star wars. Miss me with that shit.

Are you
Well I didn’t mean to put them down but if a casual doesn’t know who they are are they really a tier?[quote=“Darksakul, post:1774, topic:589664”]

I guess I’m guilty as charged. My thinking was if a person didn’t care to watch rebels or cw (which had known character’s) why would they watch a show about a complete unknown.

You want to beef over a kids show?

Most adults dont care for animated shows, over here in the land of SRK we are the exception, not the rule. Mandalorian is Live action, which is more likely to draw an adult crowd.

I mean IF there was going to be jedi to take Grogu, I almost talked myself into thinking they use old boy or gal from Jedi Fallen Order, but the way they worded it in the Ashoka episode yeah this is the easiest option. The overall issue is that most of the lore has it that Luke is the main jedi of this time so we can’t really have too many out there calling themselves that when it is supposed to be a limited number.

You came at me over this.

Swap out the time stone for holocrons and it’s got a good story for the most part.

Which is exactly why it would have been fine to use Ezra. Most didn’t know who Bo Katan was either.

But Bo Katan didn’t roll in on a X Wing to take out a platoon of Super Droids that even Din had issues with a single unit. Luke hits that Nostalgia note for the viewers more.

There’s 3…well on a technicality 2. Luke ,Ezra and ahsoka who isn’t a jedi…

Which is the point. Wasnt really about quality (tho the episode was quality) it’s about OT fans wanting to be jerked off.

Fuck nostalgia.

Tired of Luke and OT nut huggers.

Move the fuck on.
