That doesn’t somehow make continuing to criticize it off-limits, like the Echochamber types here wish. The last thing fans should be is ‘silent’. After witnessing the cinematic atrocities that Disney has committed to such a beloved franchise.
Also i don’t buy for a second that most of you guys here are against the Disney SW movies. I post on plenty of other message boards, and SRK is the (1) place i can expect to consistently get push-back.
I don’t know what it is about SRK weirdos but, most of you ARE very much in favor of the garbage Disney has put out. Care to shed some light on that? Are there like, Huge John Boyaga and Adam Driver fans around these parts?

We’ve moved on from the ST and are now looking forward to things like the Bad Batch spin-off and SE2 of Mando. Sorry that you can’t. If there’s one thing I’ve learned and love about SRK is we all have vastly different tastes in everything. Or vastly different outlooks/perceptions if it’s something we all agree on that we enjoy. And we can usually discuss it in civility. You seem to not be able to or don’t want to

That’s a false statement, man. Sure, most people were hype for Ep 7 when it came out, and willing to give it more slack for being a rehash of 4. There were enough mystery boxes and intrigue to see what happens next.
Then Ep 8 happened and very few of us on here liked it. Trust me, I was one of its biggest supporters here, and I caught so much shit. The vast majority of posters here thought it was complete and utter shit, and that’s really when the hatred for what Disney did to the franchise started to heat up.
Then when Ep 9 dropped and basically said SIKE to what happened in Ep 8, everyone pretty much unanimously agreed that with the lack of vision and no narrative plan, Disney botched it. Even I came around.
Sure, I still find the movies enjoyable, but it’s clear that Disney fucked up. In fact, I like TLJ actually less than before Ep 9 released. RoS made it a much weaker movie, and that pissed me off.
I think everyone here can agree, whether you enjoy the movies or not, that Disney fucked it up by not having a cohesive plan, or for not bringing in Lucas for consultation. You need to pay attention, dude. We’ve gone over this extensively, right here.
For me personally, it’s become a thing of apathy, not hatred. There’s a fucking pandemic going on. I don’t have time to hate a fantasy space opera with laser swords and space wizards right now.

I’ll forever co-sign on this. I dislike the main line movies a great deal. But all the stuff around them, before them, after them and concurrent with them? Inject that shit into my veins.
Watching Clone Wars animated made me feel like the little kid who got handed the full run of Shadows of the Empire by his student teacher in 5th grade again. It made me care about the Mando’s and want to learn more about them.
It made me care about the rebels and see how intricate and well planned Palpatines plan was to dismantle the Jedi order and galactic republic in one coordinated strike.
I want to know more about the Jedi order, the sith rule of 2, so on and so forth .
That’s the kinda shit I wanna see.

And just because it made money, doesn’t mean it’s good. But you wouldn’t be the first Disney SW fan to throw up numbers like that, in a sad bid to excuse it from the actual quality of the movies.
^^ Attempting to degrade and call the quality of the original movies into question, so the sequel trilogy somehow doesn’t seem as bad in comparison?

The movies suck no matter how much nostalgia is stuck up your ass.
SW is very comparable to the MCU. Babies first entry into the lore and universe. Great entertainment but not the best part of the medium.
Amazing how I say I don’t particularly like the SW movies and I’m still pro Disney SW. I’ve said on multiple occasions I prefer everything from books, shows, games etc over the main movies.
Twist it to fit your narrative I guess.

There are bits and pieces of each movie (the ones I’ve seen anyways. Never saw RoS or Solo) that I enjoy but as a whole I don’t find them really enjoyable.
