Star Wars Thread

I’ve never read those books. The Legacy and The Fate series’ is where it’s at. It borderline brings it to Dungeons & Dragons and Dragonlance territory pretty much!!!

Yes, Luke temporarily allies himself with a member of the Lost Tribe of the Sith:

Rey should have lost a hand.

Disney should’ve released this part of clone wars as a movie. It started with a movie end it with a movie. This waiting is gonna kill me.

I doubt that The current Disney as the balls to do that with a female lead.
But they also did the Death Scene for Bambi’s mother, which pulled no punches.

Well aside from you know…shooting her off screen.

Well let me show you that movie’s deleted scene

This shit already traumatic enough for the target audience without this scene.
When they deleted the scene the new line was Bambi’s mother was being dragged away.
And you have that whole scene of Bambi being stopped by his Father in the woods

bambi's father

I don’t think there are many (human) dismemberments in the ST. I honestly only remember 2.

The Praetorian guard’s head rolling in TLJ
animation (8)
Kylo Ren cutting the soldiers arm off on Mustafar.
animation (6)

Well not in the new Trilogy, there plenty in the Original and Prequels.
Plus no one cares if nameless extras/NPCs lose a limb. Make it a named character and people will start being more emotionally invested, make it a main character and people would lose their minds.

That’s pretty much the point. Disney wasn’t up for letting any of the new toys get damaged in the play pen.

Yeah, Disney wants the properties to be as family friendly as possible so while there can be some violence they won’t go too far.

How Marvel got away with the violence in Avengers IW/ED I can’t say but the Star Wars movies definitely didn’t get that rope as most violence is kept to faceless goons.

Violence is okay, but it has to be directed towards a great evil.
Major Villain killing half the universe or evil Fairy Socresores who just turned into a dragon as the target of that violence is a-okay.
