I don’t get why anyone with sense to understand that these are movies or shows thinks going after the actress or actor is ok. Even if you don’t like their acting in the role, these are people doing their jobs.
More than being just doing they’re job. they’re actual people with feelings. And he was just a kid. All of various ways people mentally and emotionally abused him through the years undoubtedly had a lot to do with triggering a lot of his mental illnesses.
Take it from me. That shit takes its toll on you in ways you can’t even imagine. I am in no way the same person I was 5-6 years ago. And I don’t mean in an “no one is the person they were x amount a years ago” we all naturally go through. I’m talking about slowly turning into someone else due to tragic events in your life happening and people doing or saying horrible things to you.
Those stick to you. They echo in your head. They haunt you. The cripple your growth as a person. They can end relationships. They slowly change who we are, how we think and how we see the world.
People suck.
George Lucas’s test footage for his TV show that never was.
A possible Cyberpunk Star Wars?
Oooh if only it could have happened…
Yes it’s a midnights edge video but it shouldn’t be a surprise when KK “retires”
Just finished binging The Mandalorian.
That was fantastic.
I said it after the pilot and I still believe it. In terms of themes, style, presentation and world building it felt similar to shows like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Where they mixed so many genres, themes and settings that shouldn’t go together into some weird fucking alchemy pot and made something truly unique feeling. It just happened to have a juggernaut IP like Star Wars at the wheel.
That said despite it being in the Star Wars universe it didn’t feel like Star Wars but it also fits seamlessly into the Star Wars canon. I feel that’s due to they didn’t constantly shove down your throat all the Star Wars tropes, themes, history we knew but leaned into them just enough that people wanted to know more about the world The Mandalorian was giving us.
It’s a great intro series for new comers or people coming back to the Star Wars universe or people who have supported the IP throughout the decades due to how many throw backs and Easter eggs. I know while I watched though I had a lot of questions afterwords it wasn’t in an alienated way. It was in a “holy shit I want to know more” way.
It is the series that got me back into Star Wars and got me to binge all 6 seasons of clone wars since the Mandalore people are so important to both. (The movies are still my least favorite part about Star Wars tho. Lol)
TL;DR Favreau And everyone involved totally knocked it out of the park.
Edit: Seems I have the honor of having the 666th post in the thread. Hail Satan.
The name is Hercule. And the phrase is Hercule Rules!
According to the new Darth Vadar comic Padmé was still alive post Empire.
It’s Sci Fi, I am sure its ether a clone, or one of her many body doubles.
Padmé had more bodyguards and assists that look like her than even she knows what to do with the thing.
They even got Keira Knightley to play her in universe double who at the time looked so much like Natalie Portman, even their moms on set can’t tell who is who though all the costumes and makeup.
I completely forgot that Padme had a legion of body doubles.
Whatever the case who or what this is must have been aware of his secret marriage to be fucking with Vadar in this matter. Only the droids and Ahsoka I believe knew about the relationship.
She’s the Nick Fury of Star Wars.
And C3PO had his memories wiped, so that leaves R2D2.
Palpatine knew as well, and he has it in him to Troll vader with a Padme clone.
I do like the direction the Vadar book is taking. He wants to hunt down all the people responsible who hid Luke from him and made him weak. Not sure how many of those people are still alive but I’ll see where it goes.
