Since Mandalorian and Clone Wars as well of the other spins off have gotten interested SW again. I was wanting to get some of the books too when I get the chance.

That said, I just got audible. What’re some that are “must reads”? Well…in this case “must listen”? I keep seeing Timothy Zahn’s, Thrawn books pop up as must reads but which ones specifically?

Vaapad borders on the area of falling to the Dark Side, as it channels one’s enjoyment of struggle into the attack. Only Windu’s mastery and concentration on the light side averted him from succumbing to his own anger, which is why Vaapad was rarely practiced and very dangerous

Clone Wars is a series that I’m very sorry to have missed on. I’m not that big on Star Wars. I liked the old pre Disney movies, but I’m not crazy enough about the series to want to dig up other stuff… but little of what I’ve seen of CW on TV really captivated me, but I never went out of my way to actually pick it up.

What do you SW nerds think? Should I give it a go?

Also, is the other Samurai Jack-like Clone Wars canon? If I am to pick it up, I’ll give that a watch too, since it’s short and I love the animation style, but I want to know if it, you know, matters beyond that.

Is Ventress as cool a character as she looks? She’s the main thing that captivated my attention in the first place

Definitely give Clone Wars a go. It is a great series. If you ask me the Clone Wars show redeems the prequels. Everything Lucas wanted to accomplish with those films is done better on the show. Anakin is actually a likable character, his relationship with Obi-Wan actually matches up with how Obi-Wan describes it to be in A New Hope, it even manages to make the Senate portions of the prequels somewhat engaging.

The Clone Wars micro series is not canon.

She’s betrayed by Dooku and forced to be on her own. The series does a deep dive on her character after that.

Which sucks because before the CG cartoon it filled in the blanks the movie left like Mace’s status as the badass, the Clone troopers and what was up with Grevious really well.

And had glorious action scenes. I am somewhat bitter they didn’t put it on Disney+.

Plus its being made noncanon from the start, they might not care enough to pursue those rights

True it is easy as a fan to forget how convoluted the business side of entertainment is.

I am pretty sure that is why we still haven’t got a legit collection of the original Muppet Babies cartoon despite Disney owning most of the major properties it cribbed from these days.

After watching the season 7 trailer a few times I noticed quite a few things.

I believe not only will season 7 lead into Revenge of the Sith but will be concurrent with it. Both Yoda and Mace holomessages are taken straight from the movie. We see a pregnant Padme. In Rebels, Ahsoka said the last time she saw Anakin was when he rushed to go save the Chancellor. Likely the rescue mission from the opening scene of the movie.
I noticed a young Kanan Jarris in the meeting room. Nice!

I’ll need to rewatch all of clone Wars again. So much I have forgotten. With the new season though it’s good to get back in.

The more I see coming out about ep.9 “duel of the fates” the more pissed I am that it wasn’t the movie we ended up getting.

I’ve been ignoring the stuff about the hypothetical episode 9 but…holy shit that concept art just looks like the sickest Star Wars movie.

I’m not mad at RoS, JJ did the best he could under a lot of direction. But come the fuck on.

RoS was okay to me. My biggest issue is that we didn’t even get JJ’s movie. It got the BvS treatment. Director gives his final cut and the studio decides to release their own edit of that cut.

That happens A LOT. Directors cut editions are a thing for a reason, this happens on the regular.
