Amount of time in a movie doesn’t equate to impact they have on the movie.
Case in point: Boba Fett, Palpatine, Lando and you know, Darth Vader

This sequence ruined Vader in the ot for me.
Like bruh did you wear yourself out going HAM 20 minutes ago before your ship caught up to Tantive IV?
It was a different time, they didn’t know what we wanted until after Empire and all the other media started popping.
Also to add that they didn’t have the effects in the 70s to do what they did in rouge one.
The Scene didn’t ruin Vader, it made him better.
Also if you are fighting a dude you haven’t seen in 20+ years, and the last time you did he left you with no limbs on top of burning lava and left you to die, you be causions as fuck.
When it comes to a bunch of No Bodies, you go ham on them because they are expendable
This just needs to be edited in by Disney and fix the tantive entry scene (hell copy and paste the rogue sequence)and Vader would be fixed imho.
The idea of a fallen Luke is probably the best idea to come out of the st, the problem is they didn’t really let the whole thing breathe.
In TFA, JJ did his typical mystery box, we need a thing to find a thing hackjob, and turned Luke into a macguffin. Then in the TLJ we introduce his arc through exposition dumps and flashbacks, resolve it all in the same movie (in between pointless casino subplots) then kill him off because lol why not. Then in ROS he’s basically a cameo in a movie full of new, dispensable characters the audience has no investment in because their sole purpose is to prove our mains have a case of the not gays.
Why not introduce his arc in the first movie, build on it in the second and resolve it in the third for the ultimate payoff? I’ll tell you why; because they were making it up as they were going along and flying by the seat of their pants. Hence a good idea was botched in its execution.
Sounds tight. Where’s that movie at?
Yo’ that was pretty good!!!
No, keep the film in it’s original cinematic release state or as close to it as possible.
God I love Star Wars fans that aren’t retards<3
My counter argument about Rey needing more Character development time
Ghostbusters, None of the Ghostbusters team has any character development, they are written as not having/needing (depending how you want to look at it) any sort of character development.
Rise of the Skywalker passed 900m and will hit 1b this week…
Definitely bombing and I can clearly see how the majority just hate the movie. YouTube cuck brigade and other hate mongers are not the minority, no sir.
(I write this as a satire. )
Well if you don’t watch the movie several times in theaters, how can you analyze and dissect the movie? How can you tear it down and tell everyone how horrible it is?
Spend the money on things you hate, it is the “AMERICAN” way.
But in all seriousness the haters that bemoan and cry about how bad the new trilogy is are fucking ass clowns, every one of them.
I just dont think any of them have seen actual bad movies before.
His points about TFA and most of the ones for TRoS were actually pretty great. The one’s about TLJ were explained in the context of the movie. The fact that you didn’t like the outcome is a different thing.
My coworkers and I were talking about TRoS. It’s one of those things where we all realize time will not be kind to that movie.
It’s like no one seen The Room, Mortal Kombat Annihilation, The Killing of Satan, Howard the Duck, The Bee Movie, Highlander 2: The Quickening (1991), Battlefield Earth, The Last Airbender, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, ect.
Highlander 2 was so bad, they retcon it out of the Highlander series.
Oh and here a trailer for The Killing of Satan
The ST will look like a misstep in a marketing exercise. It will show that nostalgia alone can’t win over a franchise and straying too far away from fan expectations could be a death sentence. While maintaining a certain level of quality, you have to give people what they expect to get.
If the rumors are true, an Old Republic setting may be the move.
