They really need to look at the Star Trek Renegades universe and expand that. Of Gods and Men was well done, with the limited budget and Renegades was very interesting, with all the old and new stars and showing a less ā€œcampyā€ federation.

Part of the appeal of Star Trek was for me that the shows were always going forward (even though the quality kind of dropped).
All this 10 years ago shit doesnā€™t appeal to me in the slightest.

Most of these comparisons are a stretch, even for shit Sarkeesian SJW standards. It made my head hurt to type up this satire.

Star Trek was the first show that had a Black Commissioned officer on TV. And she was a regular character on the show, not a one off and not a villain.
It is a Show that allow had A Good Guy Russian Character during the cold war, and an Asian ā€œdriverā€, a Alien First Officer, and a Scottsmen as a Engineer.

Iā€™m not going to lie. Iā€™m not feeling what Iā€™ve seen thus far of Discovery. I mean having a show the abbreviation STD seems odd. That said after taking a bit of time to think about things. I donā€™t understand the ā€œin your face diversityā€ complaints. Did people not watch a Star Trek before? Star Trek has a made point of having a diverse cast for 50 years.
