There was supposed to be a similar tech on the TOS, but due to budget restrictions Roddenberry never saw it though
And it was touched on on the Animated Trek series, The Episode Practical joker.
On the topic of the The Animated Series
Arex is the best trek alien ever and should appear on Discovery on some point.
M’ress hasn’t appeared in the live action TV shows, but her species the Caitians had, why not Arex.
Pictured an Caitian Admiral
We need Arex or another Edosian on Discovery (preferably Arex)
The “holodeck” on Discovery looks very primitive… the room appears to have solid surfaces already in place to interact with while everything else is a hologram.
wtf is this Orville show that keeps getting mentioned? Also brace yourselves bros we got 10hrs to go for the next instalment of Lorcas depravity
Should’ve watched Discovery today at lunch. Mr. Robot was just filler bullshit this week.
I dunno why I should watch Orville though. Looks like TNG with terrible humor. Guess I’ll give it a chance one of these days.
Gotta admit wasnt a fan of this episode, I think Mudd is a trash character who will keep popping up like Jar Jar Binks, he should have been clipped. Also the relation of Michael and Tyler meh? Do we need this? Also to hell with time fuckery, nice nod to Groundhog Day but meh 2/10.
Was alright, if it wasn’t done 10 times over in previous Star Trek series.
What they’re doing with her relationship with token white male action star, is humanizing her because everyone hates her since the first 2 episodes.
They’re basically trying to make us like her.
Would’ve probably been better if they started the series on the Discovery and then showed flashbacks or an episode showing what happened in her past.
I dunno how everybody else is feeling, but I still dislike Burnham.
I couldn’t agree more. They rushed establishing her as a mutineer and it doesn’t jive with how they want us to see her character. Also Burnham personality doesn’t seem consistent to me. She seems to make too many rash emotional decisions for someone that, they seem to want to portray as cold and logical.
I hope the recurring characters who only been in the background so far starts to get a larger role
Like that Cyborg/Android not even the producers of the show are sure what she is yet, the two helm officers and even the doctor that had maybe 2 lines of dialog all season
