I thought the insurance on ships could only be bought with real cash, not in game currency… As soon as the mod drops where you can land on planets I’m throwing money at the screen, I just want to explore and trade shit

I wanna explore a universe, and build new ships and shit. I’m hoping it’s not a huge insane ordeal to build a ship, with the alternative being like $100+
I’m not sure if insurance can be bought with in game money or not. I’d assume it would be an option, possibly.
I wanna be an insurance salesman in the game. Just jewing all you fuckers.
What gpu is everybody running? I have a gtx 760, would I be good? Not looking to run on ultra or anything, just something with a decent frame rate.
I only will be playing 1080p btw
As SoVi3t mentioned the base game costs $45 with the cheapest package. But you can earn REC(rental currency) by playing the Arena Commander mode in game and rent all the currently available ships/weapons/etc, for 7 days iirc. Been too busy to play the last few weeks but I think one match earns you around 1000 REC (less or more depending on how you perform) and the better ships costs 12-16k REC.
Or just 6k if you go for the Avenger which is the ship I’m currently using and it’s sweet as fuck.

Nah you’ll be able to get insurance with in game money once the game is released.

I have heard rumblings that the Freelancer is available for flight on the test realm.
If they have my MIS variant available for flight pretty soon, I will be shitting my pants.

What the fuck did you get me into, Odin…they’re seriously scaring me away from the game at this point with the stupidity of trying to get a fucking refund.
I shit you not, this has been our exchange so far:

I apologize if I sent more than one request for a refund to you. While I do want to be a part of the Star Citizen community, right now the game isn’t as complete as I would have liked, and I’ve been having too much trouble trying to play it in any way, shape, or form, since installing it yesterday. So I regret to inform you that I would like to request a refund to the game, and get the $45USD back. I promise to re-purchase this game in the future.

Yes. If you need specifics, it’s because the game didn’t work right when I installed it. The empty hangar issue soured me a lot. I’ll wait until the next major update to try this out perhaps, hopefully the kinks have been ironed out, and hopefully I can afford to buy some better ships as well.
If account closure has to occur with a refund, I understand. However, I do promise I will rebuy this game at a later date, just when it’s a little more polished up and less buggy

Hello SoVi3t666,
In order to move forward with the request as quickly aspossible I just need to gather some information from you. Can you pleaseconfirm as much as you can of the following information regarding your refundrequest:
Confirm that you accept that partial refunds are notpossible - A successful refund request will result in a permanent and fullaccount closure
Confirm that you understand any gifted pledges to and fromyour account cannot be refunded
The total amount you anticipate
Your current PayPal e-mail address (In the event that anyalternate payment methods fail, we will use this as a backup)
Generally, we don’t offer refunds outside of the initial14-day (as from the date when your ticket was submitted) or such longer graceperiod as required by applicable local regulations. Having said that, I am not dismissing your refund query as we like to consider each request on acase-by-case basis.
Additional information:
If authorized the refund may take a few days to action ifthe orders are older than 30 days. This is because human action is usuallyrequired and an automated reversal would be rejected by most payment handlers
If a refund is granted it will take 7-10 working days toappear on your statement
We cannot refund any delivered physical items
We cannot refund any and all subscription payments
Our refund guys will eventually have the final task ofdiscussing the refund request with you. However, due to the large volume oftickets we are receiving at the moment there may be a considerable delay beforethey are able to respond. Rest assured your ticket has not been forgotten andplease bear with us during this period.
All the best,
-Amanda
IF a refund is granted? I got pissy back. I sent a reply that basically says “why the fuck you bringing up typically not doing refunds after 14 days? I bought the game on the 23rd, and my refund email was on the 24th. Even then, it’s only been ten days. I’ve told you how much I paid you, several times. I’ve told you why I’m asking for a refund. I gave you one fucking payment for 45 fucking dollars, and I want it back, why do we have to become pen pals to accomplish this???” I’m now on first name basis with the person who I just want to reverse the fucking charges. Should I be going to my bank and just getting them to cancel this or something??

Scams usually don’t put this much work into their ploys lol Things are coming along, no reason to think its a scam at all.
Especially with a company that updates every week.
FPS demo shown at PAX.

they’re trying to confuse you with little thorns in their email reply. I told you they will try to find away to not give you a refund. I didn’t expect it to be so eloquent though
Was watching a twitch streamer this morning ( he had the most viewers at a very early eastern time) and he said the First phase of the persistent universe would be rolled out in about a week… Claiming to have inside sources. From everything I’ve been reading they are still quite a bit away from that but admittedly my knowledge is limited. Wouldn’t the fps portion be rolled out first?

Yeah, persistent universe isn’t coming out anytime soon. The FPS was supposed to come out next, and before the end of the year.
