"Stand aside kiddies, while Goliath does his thing!" - The Hawkeye Combo Thread

Well I know with my team I can do this:

slide + Zero clone Hadangeki assist, Trick Shot L xx Violent Fizz, s.H xx Net Arrow, slide, s.S, Scatter Shot xx Gimlet, j.H, j.S, f.M, slide + Doom Missiles, s.S, sj.M, sj.M, sj.H, sj.S, Trick Shot L xx Violent Fizz (Missiles Hit) Trick Shot H xx Freeze Shot, s.S, super jump up back with Triple Arrow.

With Jam Session it’s pretty easy to get a launch, scatter, gimlet closer to the end of a combo instead of at the beginning, but then you’re not really getting the massive damage from it so you could go with something else.

i wanted to have a hawkeye team just don’t no who 2 put first i was thinking about magneto vergil hawkeye but idk who i should put first i’m not really feeling spencer nor dante

haggar, hulk, hawkeye

Well, I’m pretty new to using hawkeye, but I just wanted to show the small combo I came up with using one assist and 2 bars. Mostly for style.

I found some tech that helps out anchor Hawkeye

Let me know what you think.

Nice video, I think this is pretty much known by most, but it’s still a good video for new Hawkeye players who might not have known. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this on incoming when I see my opponent has pressed a button and Immediately take them out with such a simple sequence, sooo cheap. I also like doing kiss of death and XF before it hits. and then on the last explosive arrow gimlet. Good video.

Yea doing Kiss of Fire into Gimlet always reminds me of shooting clay pigeons at a gun range. In my head I’m always like “PULL!..bang” lol

Which throws (front, back, air, ground) should we be able to convert from? A lot of time my freeze shot whiffs or doesn’t bounce. For the latter case, not sure if that’s supposed to happen or I’m doing it wrong.

Edit: team is Hawk Rapid Slash Plasma Beam in case assists make a difference here.

Air throws you can always get a groundbounce if you do it fast enough; forward ground throws you can get a groundbounce or a [st.H, QCF+M] x5 or less before they hit the ground. Back throw you can only get a poison tip or speed shot, depending on whether you want poison or immediate damage.

Nice thanks! Someone told me I can get freeze shot confirms off a long range plasma beam too, gotta work on that. I f’n love this team! Plasma hawk feels borderline broken lol

AIf hawk lands a nj height air to air jH (or jHS), should he be able to convert that into a ground combo?

If you land an air to air jH I think the best you can do is try and cancel into Net Arrow to try and bring them to the ground and combo from there, not completely sure if there is anything better than that. The only problem is this only works if the opponent was right in front of you when you hit them and even then sometimes the Net Arrow whiffs, you just need to know the spacing required to make the Net Arrow hit. If they are above you I don’t think there is much you can do except for Gimlet, but it is better to conserve your meter.

So …

That’s the most I can do off a forward throw without using meter since I prefer to save those for Swords/Glasses off since they do more damage/more beneficial in the long run, respectfully. Anyone else can do more with their team without meter?

Thoughts on a good point for (Someone)/Dante/Hawkeye? Currently trying deadpool but looking for some other recommendations before I decide for sure. I don’t want to play Vergil Dante Hawkeye.

Wesker, nova, task, zero, and spencer would work well there. Probably viper too, but I dunno how much she likes arrows compared to other horizontals. Oh, and vergil

Have you guys maximized hawkeyes xfc 3 combos? I saw paulow had a good one with st.m f.h freeze arrow st.m f.h poison arrow st.m f.h chain arrow launcher etc and it looked beefy as fuck.
I just don’t feel like launch … f.m slide launch … f.m slide launch h s etc. Kinda weak and isn’t a guaranteed tod.

Hey guys,

I was watching Yipe’s stream replay and caught him play a team of Hawkeye/Dante/Nova. I was watching his BNB with Hawkeye and I can’t understand why he does just jump H for his first Air Series. Is it because of hit stun deterioration to ensure he completes the combo after the next Air Series?
I also have trouble landing anything after the Nova M Centurion Rush hits, when he ends the combo in Poison Shot->Gimlet. Any tips?

Thanks

@Gobias. I didn’t see this yipes team but doing jump M’s in the air are bad for hitstun. I do 3 relaunches solo with my point hawkeye and only use one air M on the first launch mostly for timing. Any more and the three relaunches becomes super difficult to do.

@MrBGuy. Hard tag into doom immediately off forward throw does more damage meterless on my team. My team has no assist to help doom’s combo damage though. I imagine it would be a lot more with strider assist.

On the topic of Neutral Jump H’s if you can cancel into net arrow and have it actually hit (character specific but I don’t know who exactly) you can hold back after you input net arrow and hold down the hard tag button for doom as you land and get a three launch combo. Works from midscreen but does take some practice. You even have enough time to start the doom combo with St.H instead of St.M if you time it perfectly.

Otherwise for Neutral Jump H’s I’ve succesfully done Air H xx triple arrow, Air H Air S St.M St.S.
If you want that confirm real bad just Air H, Air S xfactor Air S into launch. Its pretty easy to get down.

Also on the ground people need to start doing better ground combos off of their Cr.L and st.M.
Cr.L St.M forward H xx Trick Shot L Freeze Stand M. Slide Launch.
Can also do crouch L instead of the last Stand M and go for tick throw. If they’re in the corner you can show off your sick corner throw combos!
