Stan Lee confirms Black Panther and Dr. Strange movies

Should release the black Panther one soon since everyone’s already hype about Treyvon Martin.

This black and African enough for yall

If you give him John Blaze he’d get jiggy wit dat shit

Viggo Mortensen as Doctor Strange please

Micheal Cena as Black Panther please

Scary when you consider that the Rock has been in talks with Marvel, but I’ve heard it’s because he wants to play Luke Cage, rather than Black Panther. Probably because racist black people would bitch that he isn’t black enough.

Rock doesn’t have the attitude for Luke Cage.

Have you smelt what hes cooked before?! Jabroni…

These two movies will probably be the cheapest ones Marvel makes in the immediate future…
They’re just not the best-known Marvel characters to the public; both have limited appeal amongst the comic book crowd as-is!

There’s a reason why the 1970s Dr. Strange doesn’t get shown much on TV after the CBS premiere!
I’ve seen a clip or two that makes the live-action Spidey from the 1970s look better. (For my money, the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno Hulk series was the best of the live-action Marvel shows of that time frame. I still think that in many ways filming a live-action, muscled guy as the Hulk would be better than the utterly fake-looking CGI that they’ve used to create The Hulk since the Eric Bana film.)

Also, the recent Black Panther animated mini-series probably had the cheapest budget of all the Marvel animated projects since the 1960s Marvel Superheroes series. It was basically a minimally animated comic like the other Marvel “motion” comics. In other words, they basically added voice track, sound effects, and musics and did minimal movement and maybe some lip animation!

how you figure?

My, bad, I mean Johnson doesn’t have the attitude for Cage. All hail The Rock.

He was fun as Roadblock, tho, but he’s just too…nice.

Also what RockB said - dude just isn’t “black” enough. He doesn’t have a drop of African in him either.

When I look at this, it makes it hard to imagine.

All said, I wouldn’t be upset if he got the role, though.

Would watch that Luke Cage movie!! #Just saying

On the Black Panther series, that is EXACTLY what they did. Basically, gave the writer of that story who was a “big” network figure the reigns as producer of the project. Had it promised for years only for it to eventually find its way out in that format, meaning either Marvel or Hudlin really didn’t trust the property to even give it a decent budget. Especially, since Marvel was shown to have invested in motion comics before (Spider-Woman had a ongoing motion comic back 2009) and it premiered in Australia and later online in the US BEFORE it was ever placed on TV.

Phil LaMarr for live action BP. Put him on the Thor workout.

I love how I said people would complain Rock isn’t black enough to be Luke Cage, and people did. Racism is fun.

You’d never hear a white dude say “that guy is too white to play _______.” And people have no problem making Johnny Storm black, but Luke Cage can’t be played by certain black actors, due to a lack of complete blackness.

Black people logic is so…lacking

Oh shit i thought ya was talkin bout RockB

Including EMH, which is my point

All I know is Eamonn Walker HAS to be a villain in the Black Panther movie.

P-p-p-p-p-p-POWER MAN

oh please do tell me some examples of the Rock avoiding his blackness. Like when he goes to the hood in GI Joe. Or when he constantly reminds people of his heritage all the time. And is it really that hard for a fucking black guy to be a blaxploitation character? REALLY? Do I need to point out the massive fucking logical fallacy here, RockyB?

Just admit that you’re gay for Black Panther and Luke Cage, and only want men you’ve fapped to to play him, and we can all move on.

who was the black dude in the first Never Back down? He was Also in

I don’t think it’s him avoiding his blackness so much as its him trying to not be the token black guy in whatever movie he’s in if that makes sense. Though I agree Terry Crews as Luke Cage would be a perfect match.

You can’t expect any sort of logic coming from Vince McMahon.

As for his father and grandfather, you’ve gotta be kidding me. He CONSTANTLY talks about them. You can just check his twitter or fb posts to even confirm this. Hell, how about the fucking tattoo’s he’s gotten in celebration of his heritage?

I agree he has to do the character justice, but so does ANY FUCKING BODY ELSE who does the role. Hell, that’s what acting is all about.

You can’t bitch about how he ‘represents’ when the majority of his roles have him portraying a cop, or a tooth fairy, or some other Disney related nonsense. He simply does the roles he’s in. Would you rather him be running around doing stereotypical black things in his movies, or would you rather him just go out and give it his best, and try to bring something special to his roles? God forbid he doesn’t just phone in a stereotypical role like the vast majority of other minor black actors in Hollywood.

I really can’t figure out exactly what you seem to want from him. I highly doubt you do either.

And as much as I would love to see Terry Crews play Luke Cage, I feel that it would make the movie too campy or slapstick to be taken seriously, and would only damage the film overall.

Yeah, he followed his mother right into the same career as her…oh wait, that was his dad.

I also follow his twitter and fb, and he brings up his father and grandfather a lot. But I guess selective memory is useful in this case…

Then stop contradicting yourself.

So rather than play a marine, or a tooth fairy, or a cop, you want him to limit himself and play a black marine, a black tooth fairy, a black cop. Brilliant.

He is a fan of the character. And he has hardly ever pussy footed around with his roles, and in fact takes them quite serious. As somebody who follows his twitter and fb, you should know this.

he still cracks jokes about money lol. His entire beat down on Dr Doom over $200 bucks comes to mind as a pretty big joke in itself.
