I’d love to see a reimagining or remake of Rolento’s elevator stage from Alpha 2
or Alpha 2 Charlie’s stage
or Rolento’s Alpha 3 subway
for new stages I’ve always wanted to see the under ground fighting ring from Final Fight 1 made into a stage, it has a ton of personality. I love the wrapped steel girders for the corner posts.
The Bar from Final Fight (or just a generic pub of some sort) would be cool too
The one stormy field stage from Alpha. It’s an absolute travesty SF4 didn’t recreate it. With the devs saying they intend to add weather effects this time it seems like shoo in, but we’ll see.
It’s the one NEXT to that one. The one that looks like a piece of paper with a corner folded over. Alternately you can just do a [ img ] tag (without the spaces between img and [ ]
O yeah, the bathhouse from SF2 also would be a great return if they didn’t do that. No matter what I’m hoping for SOME sort of bathhouse. Even a turkish bathhouse wouldbe sweet if Hakan comes back or they have a new character from Turkey. The fact there wasn’t one in SF4 always surprised me, fighting in a bathhouse is pretty iconic to the SF series.
As long as the grass only minimally changes visibility of the characters that sounds awesome. Last thing I want is being impossible to see stuff like Chun Li’s fist during her crMP.
I think having stuff in front of the fighting characters in a FG is never good design. I know it’s accepted in third strike, and the table does certainly add to the concept of depth and really feel like you’re fighting IN the stage instead of in front of it, but I think you should never obscure the characters on a FG stage.
If they do have objects in the front field of view then they should turn transparent whenever an object is nearby them (character, mask/claw/knife, fireball, ect.)
Not particular stage request, i believe once they got the right idea the new style can give very nice stages(i already like it more than flat dominant saturated color we suffered in SF4)… i can already imagine the stage we have seen become -more- awesome with animated peoples/elements, these chinese cooks are going to get mad at you brawling in theyr restaurant lol

Please not another SF4 sadness
SF4 was imho too modern/industrial themed and generic as locations, as nostalgic it sound give me back muh “World Tournament” theme full of beautiful turistic random places where punch the fuck out of each other
I will like if they recover that strong nation stereotype for theyr locations
Also more europe please, show some beautiful places… SF4 got 4 european stages: inside factory, inside factory, in front of a factory, on a ship. WHAT THE FUCK
Few people in the background, preferable none. Most of the time they look retarded unless they don’t move at all, which beats the purpose of putting people in first place.
Zero elephants this time please, or any other stereotypical feature that is cheesy enough that has high chances of being featured in a hotel from Las Vegas.
I tend to prefer still, natural landscapes or views showing archeological places or big architecture: I would like to see places resembling:
Urien’s Olmeca ruins from 3S.
Cammy’s castle from SF2.
A stage on a rocky cliff with a view of the sea at high tide. Could be at the top of an old lighthouse. Avoid sand, that immediately evokes bikinis and fanservice.
A garden of a Victorian house, maybe even a maze.
Most of SFA2’s stages. By far the best stages in SF game to date.
If we go back to the touristy SF2 style of stages please create stages that feel representative of the host nation not “inside factory”.
If we go the story driven stages there are a few that are a must:
1- stormy grassy field from SFA2 (use epic music like the english dub SF2AM during the stormy grassy field Ryu V Sagat fight)
2- A shadaloo lab stage where the entire background consists of a room full of glass tubes housing clones/spare bodies. Some of them are defective/failed and look mutated while others are like Seth/Abel/dolls. We see randomized cameo appearances of Decapre, cammy, or even a broken Seth floating inside the stasis tubes. Bonus points if we can smash some of the tubes during the fight and if there are soldiers that salute Bison when he walks by. Ominous villain music is a must.
3- Sagat, Ryu, Zangief and Vega SF2 stage. With cage for the latter.
4- Urien temple ruins stage.
5- Green lush forest japan stage with Gouken’s dojo in the background. Create a dark and dramatic night time version of this stage where the dojo is on fire and the stage is lit up red.
6- a stage inside a club or a rave with people dancing and progressive house music is playing. Something like SF3’s hugo stage.
I hope the developers would revisit some of the rejected stages concepts designed for SFIV, and make them a reality in SFV (especially the top and bottom pics from the photo below). I want to see some classical buildings for the European stages. Sadly, these were absent in USFIV.
