I broke it down and I now realize why american stick players can’t DP on square gate jap sticks even though they’re like made for the dp motion. I made Pablo try to DP and saw him get stuck at the corner… He (you guys?) roll it from f to down, then down to forward. Jap sticks go to neutral quick enough to easily tap forward, release to neutral, go down, then push it to the corner and press the button.

I’m down for hating on jap sticks all you want, but when dragon punching is the issue, this needs to be resolved.
Wow, I will try that as soon as I get home. I’m stuck on DPs like pablo, but that sounds like that may be the answer to my misery.
Lemme know how it goes… ST inputs are slower than any game I’ve played so DPing really just using the three motions f, d, d/f is easier than I’d ever expected to be.
Believe it or not, I actually practiced for one week straight on jap sticks. I was actually able to DP by flicking my wrist. Out of pride for my country I said, “fuck japan and those with yellow fever”, and proceeded to keep playing on happ parts. These colors don’t run.
At least you acknowledged that you can dp with a wrist flick. That’s enough for me, I’m not saying everyone has to play jap sticks. Just recognize.
I’m gonna try your method, cus yeah, that is exactly what I do to DP on American sticks and it works, f, roll to down, and then d/f…
I thought that was common knowledge about the Jap. sticks and DP’s. I’ve lost faith in everyone…
