Sadly, not all of the best players showed up. But that’s their fault for putting life/football ahead of games. We had to make due with those that showed up. The pizza delivery guy had a surprisingly deft Guile, and even perfected Julian Blake to take the final spot on the team. We’re not sure whether he can get the 15th off yet. If not, Julian will be the alternate.

Stop lobbying for a tournament. If the ST 5v5 actually goes down, your spot is pretty much guaranteed. It’s now time for you to start acting l33t and talk down to other people who want in. You weren’t there today, but I posited what I thought the team should be comprised of. It drew angry words from Blake.

Lol. I’ll challenge 5th seat if I can go. I honestly don’t believe a tournament is a good idea for selecting the five, unless it’s a round robin. Those who have the most overall wins get seated, ya dig?
Do you play all that much? If anyone’s challenging for 5th seat it should be Pablo or something. Or hell, even me… I’m getting serious about ST because I’ve pretty much given up on 3s. ST & Guilty Gear are now where it’s at - the simplest and the most complex.

I’m pretty sure we’re aware a round robin would be more fair, but frankly the issue is running that/getting people to show up/etc.

Paul plays ST Ken. Unless he randomly switched since I last talked about ST with him.
-I play Claw, Chun, and Cammy (don’t underestimate her, seriously) pretty seriously as mains. I’ll be in training mode all night tonight. Ryu is an alternate. My Cammy is an anti-Boxer, and Ryu is an anti Guile/Ken/Dictator.
-Paul plays ST Ken, but his execution is seriously lacking right now. If he gets it down well, I would put him quite high in the rankings. No joke, the throw game beats Boxer’s.
-If people can show up for tournaments, they can take the time to play everyone. Round robins are a lot easier to run, anyways. Given a couple TVs and enough sticks, it runs much faster than the normal tournies. If they aren’t showing up, I wouldn’t consider them to be representative of the NW players.
You and Keith both mention Pablo, but I am fairly certain he could not beat me in heads up. No disrespect to Pablo intended, he is by far my favorite player in ALL GAMES.
I admit I have definitely not been playing my best lately, though.
