St Patrick’s Beatdown on March 17th at the Game Grid Arcade in the Valley Fair Mall

Come play with the best fighting game players in Utah. Featuring national tournament players 801 Strider, IPeru, and Konqrr.

Here is all the details

Games: Super Street Fighter 4 2012, Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Kombat 9, Soul Calibur 5, King of Fighters 13 and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Time: Casuals begin at 11am. Tournament begins for all games at 1pm except for SSF4 2012. SSF4 2012 begins at 3pm. These are estimates. Arrive early to register.

Cost: 5 dollar venue fee, 5 dollar per game entry fee. Example, if you want to play SSF4 2012 and MK9 it would cost you 15 dollars. 5 dollars for the venue and 10 dollars to play the 2 games

Prizes: 100% of the entry fees is paid back to the winners. For MK9, SC5, KOF13, UMVC3 first place takes all. For SSF4 2012 and SFxT it is 70/30 payout for first/second. Also for MK9, UMVC3 and SSF4 2012 there is a defeat the champion bonus. If someone other than Konqrr wins MK9, other than Juptile for UMVC 3, and other than 801 Strider/IPeru for SSF4 2012 win, the pot will be doubled. Also for SSF4 2012, second place will be doubled if it is someone other than 801 Strider and IPeru

Rules; All games are 2/3 rounds and 2/3 matches. Grand Finals are 3/5 matches. All games are played on Xbox 360 except MK9. MK9 is played on PS3. Please bring your own stick/controller. Pausing will cause forfeit of the round. When your match is called you must be ready to play. For smoke, food, and bathroom breaks, you need to let the tournament organizer know so other matches can be called. Intentional underpeformance will cause dq for the tournament.
