ST Online w/ negligible lag

Basically just wanna echo what everyone else is saying here, that everyone is welcome to join us! If you think online ST is a joke, you probably haven’t played on a good, fast, stable connection with the new P2P technology. And I’m just slightly biased, but I think our Super Sundays league, with weekly ranking battles, is a lot of fun.

If you’re a beginner or a novice, it’s totally cool. I get the impression that there are a number of people that lurk here who might feel kind of intimidated, but there’s nothing to worry about. We have players of all skill levels, so it’s not like if you join that you’ll just get stomped all the time. Everybody wins and loses sometimes, and in the end it’s just a bunch of people having fun with the game they love.

Advanced players are also more than welcome. Come show us what you’ve got! Because unless you can activate Beast Mode at will, you probably won’t lack a challenge. Besides, we need some people to rush brian down; he’s starting to put a gap on all us intermediate-level wannabes. :wgrin:

Got questions or anything? You can find lots of info in the appropriate threads in the Computer and Handheld Matchmaking forum here on SRK.

ST online

Ive heard that you cannot use the anniversary stick even with a converter. is this true? I heard that the stick cannot be mapped.

I think fatherbrain has that stick and we played a couple times before so it should work. In mame 0.64 you have to open up the prog. and follow file/properties/controllers and check the use controller box. It’s off by default.

Hey dj, tell me a day and a time, I don’t care if it’s like 5 am here, I’ll have a couple gallons of coffee, I’ll be gone again next week, gotta play again before that.

Yeaaaa bro thats what I’m talking bout right there. Got to warn you though, I got that Chun vs Giefers match down packed :nunchuck:

I forget what our time diffrence is though. I’m off today and I’ll be on tommorrow in the afternoon ( my afternoon ).

Bout time we get some more matches going yo, it’s been way to long.

…nfba is where its at with p2p kawaks at a close second.

I’m sorry dj I looked for you for hours that day but couldn’t find you.

NFBA runs CPS2 like shit. jerky crap and horrible sound emulation.

Kawaks 1.59 is seriously amazing.

Run smooth as silk for me and most other people.

Runs like complete jumpy crap for me and most other people I know.

We gonna have to do this through an IM service if you have one. PM me and we’ll get this shit going. This is’nt the first time we have this problem:rofl:

NFBA does have cps2 issues. If only kawaks had this netcode x_X

If you’re having performance problems with nFBA, it’s because you have auto frameskip on.

Kawaks is bad, input lag and doesn’t read inputs too well.

^ that’s just straight up not true.

You are an idiot, straight up real talk.

I have been having problems… Jumpy, laggy, etc… how do I turn it off?

Input lag has been proved, and you can clearly feel it if you ever played the real thing, straight up real talk.

Read the thread if you want to know more on how the test’s done.

Thanks for proving me right

can you even read?

Simply put: kawaks has 2 frames of input lag. And I repeat, you can feel it by just playing the game, but you obviously have never seen a st cabinet in your life.
