Ok, first I suggest some we standardize the rules.
First, we probably should have all the games played at once. We are all mature adults so we can go by the honor system. This should cut down on the retarded amount of spectator lag.
Speaking of spectators, all spectators should join the game BEFORE it fully starts, not in the middle. Getting hit by spec lag during ticks is annoying as fuck and fucks up my flow.
The tournament needs to start ON TIME! That means everyone that signed up should be there 5 minutes before it starts and it definetly means that the tournament director should be there 5 minutes before AND NOT BAIL-OUT! If people are not there when the tournament starts I think we shouldnt pick up random people that dont know how to read forums. Its not that damn hard.
One more thing, limit this to North America and Europe only. Now some people in Mexico and Italy have pings of 200 or high with me, which is why I would personally want this to be U.S., Canada, and U.K. only but other people have better ping with said people so whatever…
This should be advertised more too. I only knew because I clicked a random link posted by CK on GGPO. Not even the forum, in the chat. I don’t think anybody really reads the GGPO forums, so I think SRK would be a better place for publicity.
I’m not sure how to handle the ping issue yet. I think I’m going to sleep now though. All the matches at once sounds like a good idea, especially if this’ll always be during the week, because some of us have jobs.
