I noticed the scene has died a little bit lately and with POWNZ being up in the air, I’ve decided to dedicate my Wednesday evenings to run online tournaments for both XBOX LIVE and PLAYSTATION NETWORK. Please check out the times below and I hope to see you all in the respective rooms for some Wednesday night Super IV fun. I am looking for backup directors if something should happen to me and I am unavailable to run brackets (requirements are to know how to build brackets and to have Tournament maker, PM me if you need a link to the software).
DATE: Every Wednesday Evening
TIME:
PSN: 8:00pm EST registration. 8:30pm EST start time
XBOX LIVE: 9:00pm EST registration. 9:30pm EST start time.
**Why is the PSN tournament earlier? ** I am running both tournaments, also I have also noticed I seem to get a few more connection delays/issues on PSN than with XBOX LIVE.
FORMAT: 2/3 Double Elimination, 2/3 Winners & Losers Finals, 3/5 Grand Finals
NOTES: The player lobby will be #gtasf. The tournament lobbies will be #gtasfPSN & #gtasfLIVE on Efnet server. If you’re not familiar with MIRC, please head over to Mibbit.com Webchat client and pick Efnet from the dropdown menu with #gtasfPSN as the channel name. It’ll take care of the rest for you.
Also, if you haven’t had a chance to do so, please check out #gtasf on Efnet (same instructions, just different channel name) to chat wtih a lot of the regular players in the scene. It’s a great chat room, always active with people either chatting or looking for casual games.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO STOP ALL DOWNLOADS/TORRENTS/STREAMS BEFORE YOU START A MATCH TO REDUCE LAG.
