SSFIV in Washington Arcade?

I don’t know if anyone saw on facebook that KKF asked Masterman Vending Co. if he was gonna get AE for Acme. But his answer was pretty much “no.” :frowning:

Yeah, sad news guys…Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition | Facebook

bill says that the game is 13k. if we pay a dollar a game, I dont think we can guarentee 13,000 games played for bill to just break even.

still ill drop money if bill changes his mind.

FU CAPCOM WHY U BOPPING EVERYONE SO HARD?

I think the $13,000 could be recouped. The pricing would have to be high at least until GW gets it. $1 for a 2/3 game, with probably 100 matches in an average day and a lot more on busy days it wouldn’t be crazy to think that AE could pull $1000 in two weeks time. If they were to keep that aggressive pricing until they recoup about half (2-3 months) then he can either drop it to 50 cents for 2/3 or keep it at $1 for 3/5.

Chances are people will still come to Acme whenever the console patch is released. The reason vanilla didn’t sell well after console came out was not because of new characters, it was because of location. I can personally say I never went to Narrows in the early days, and when it came out on consoles and I finally played it, I didn’t have a reason to drive down to Tacoma when Seattle had a copy of the game. However, I have played vanilla a number of times at Acme after it was moved there.

With AE being in Acme, there would be two relatively close spots to play at. I’m not sure if Bill was aware, but GW had a solid showing of people up until Super came out in April. That was when I stopped going to GW, hell SF4 fell off the Japanese top 10 arcade games played. Since Capcom will probably release AE on consoles in probably 5-6 months, everyone (for once) will have the same version as the arcades. People will still come to the arcades to play, especially at Acme. The only thing that would drive players away are the sticks…

13,000…is kind of a lot of money for a software update =/. I don’t blame him for not wanting to get it, especially if he never broke even with Vanilla. I think we can only hope that he was either told wrong, or that he changes his mind.

Pretty much. Hopefully the price goes down so we can see SF at Chuck E Cheeses and 7 11’s again. One can only dream though.

WELL. what about getting super street fighter 2 turbo at acme? thatd be tight. ionno how japanese cabs will stand up to abuse at acme though…

Gameworks in Seattle is getting their SFIV machines upgraded to SSFIV machines, I think they said by the end of the year.

Its official, lets just play Tekken and forget about this damn game already. How much longer until Capcom releases Super Super Street Figher IV Ultra Arcade Edition? If a damn software update is going to run Bill 13K then forget about it. We cannot afford $1 a game and expect it to make him break even, we are in a goddamn recession and the majority of us are BROKE ASS HUMANS! I’m just keeping the perspective logical of course.

MvC3 is around the corner and it sure as hell won’t be that expensive to purchase, also MvC3 will severely cut into our SSFIV game playing time anyway. Unless you’re one of the people who are not going to take MvC3 seriously at all and play SSFIV, which is cool by me, I’m just stating another fact on the equation.

But, if Bill can get the upgrade for a cheaper price then 13K then lets get that shit fo sho!!!

i thought they werent releasing mvc3 to arcade???

They’re not, he’s just making the point since MvC3 is coming out in Feb; a lot of us are going to start grinding on that. And MvC3 will only cost $70 at the most if you’re getting the limited. As opposed to 13k where everyone will need to grind that out so Bill or Gameworks can break even.

I want to play AE as much as the next guy but realistically I don’t think I’m going to spend 24/7 at Gameworks grinding it out. Driving to Seattle, parking, gas, cost to play some games, and etc

I agree, driving to Seattle, going through the horrible downtown area, and parking in the garage across the street is hella expensive, and damn right annoying, I am guessing they plan on releasing AE as DLC for consoles around April though, the achievements with Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma before the 2nd trailer was released pretty much sealed the deal…

I ask Gameworks back in July and they already paid for the update then, they just didnt know when they was gonna get it, its gonna suck trying to park in Downtown seattle, fuck it, im catching the bus out there…

PS: bet AE will be downloadable before evo 2k11…

parking is not hard to find downtown…

lucky for me i can walk to gameworks from home and work

What’s up 206/425 guys, pretty new to the FGC player here. Actually, I’m the dude who asked Bill on Facebook about AE at Acme. Hella excited to show up wherever AE does show up and get my ass beat down.

Though what I’m wondering is, if GW is just upgrading does that mean that the left cab will still be on that big ass TV as a monitor?

I know it’s not hard to find. Hell, I park at Pacific Place all the time when I’m trolling around downtown. It’s not a big deal from one day to another but that shit adds up quick. Gas = $30 a fill-up, parking = $2/hr at pacific place, $1/game at gameworks. Downtown is only about a 10-15 minute drive but if I’m there allll the time then yeah.

I really hope not, that TV lagged and was way too big for where you had to sit

street parkings free after 6pm, and free all day sunday. gotta hunt for it though! just read the signs before you park cuz getting your car towed sucks…

the sf4 setup at gw was originally vf5 and ionno what they did to get it to run without powering off or whatever was wrong with it at first, but when they do get ae hopefully that problem, or a new problem wont arise.

damnmnnnnn i wish i could just walk to gameworks

Jacob, originally when they had sfiv and it would shut off, it was because of overheating, but Nate fixed the airflow problem.
