i’d definitely drop by to play super at acme. only reason i stopped playing at acme was because super dropped.
I’m confused. Super isn’t out for arcade and won’t be til December at least? Did that change sometime?
It’s a Taito X2 cab, and it was reported that what I think is just an HDD swap would cost a looooooot.
I believe that Capcom sells their kits in sets of 4 (enough for two vs. games going at the same time) and that is what the price there represents. I could be wrong though.
I definitely approve of an arcade purchase. There is no info on when Capcom will bring those new arcade chars to console. So it might be different this time around. I can tell you this much, the community is much larger then before Bill. You will see VERY large tournaments (I offer my services once again to help run and regulate those events). We would definitely support you if you went this route.
Achme is probably the best middle ground for all the players out here. I can guarantee you we can even pull out of state players to come to the arcade events if you get this early enough. I was truly impressed how fast you got the original SF4 cabinet back at narrows. There were only two spots in the states that had the cabinet, LA and Tacoma! lol Very nice!
My afro approves!!
J-Cole
And Jollibee is across the street from Acme. I’m tryin’ to get me some spaghetti and chicken, my dudes.
+1 for Acme!
I wonder if they have Jollidogs…I remember eating that, its like mayo & hotdog haha…I really dont care for Jollibee though, its pretty gross but my asian wife wants to go there…
As for SSIV, as a business man i wouldn’t do it as its a bit risky in terms of financial loss. I dont think you will be able to make the money back but it will make a lot of SFIV people happy.
That is the whole thing, it’s extremely risky, as Capcom wants to rape us once again. But such a fun thought to get one of the first sets here in Washington sate.
If we do proceed, it would likely be at Acme Bowl.
There’s also the high risk, high rewards to factor in…I mean if MvC 3, Street Fighter vs Tekken, (mortal kombat 9?) comes out to the arcades, who knows maybe the fighting arcade scene might come back…You should have a Hyper Fighting cabinet there though or ST…
Bump because the interest is still there. Keep us updated Bill =D
I’d get back into it if there was a SSFIV cab somewhere. I’ve been wanting to play real people again. I personally hate playing online.
Serious Bump!
Any update on Arcade Edition Bill? =D
I don’t think the release of the console version killed your scene. Gameworks had a superior machine and location. I for one visited Narrows many times during the pre-release of SFIV on console, visiting both narrows and gameworks. I enjoyed both locations but favored Gameworks because it was closer to my location, it had better sticks (at the time), a nice sitdown setup, and more players. As SFIV released on console, I didn’t see the numbers of players die down. In fact, I saw so many people show up I walked out of Gameworks one night because I didn’t want to wait 45 minutes.
I think the issue at hand is what kind of machine is this going on, and how many people find Takwila a convenient location?
PS: Where is your Pop’N machine?
Definately would like to see AE at acme but would like it if u can extend the times like narrows time. Also I prefer no minors after 10 :)!

i preferred the narrows setup to gameworks. sticks and buttons were great. tired of playing on these japanese setups especially when assholes come in there and pound on the cabinet like thats gonna make you win. gameworks had an easier location for most people but acme is pretty damn good too. and there’s a parking lot…and food…drinks too
the long wait time due to 1 setup though…man if you had super turbo or something else for us to play while we wait thatd be SICK. we could even play vanilla if youre going to get a whole new setup
Acme would be a very nice spot for SFIV Anniversary Edition. The place gets packed and HELLA randoms would walk by.
Or if its possible we can bring set up if u had a tv for us :)!

I would enjoy this at either Gameworks in Seattle or at Acme Bowl in Tukwila. Make it happen!
I never really thought about it but you’re right, American parts seem much more durable. I just need to learn the one flick of the wrist charge super.
put put MvC2 and/or CvS2 at ACME, and the line won’t matter. Hope this goes through cause I know I’ll be making a stop at ACME damn near everyday on the way home from work.
I wouldn’t mind Acme until I learned its on American sticks. I probabaly would go but not play too much because of that. Would there be any way to put Sanwa’s on that cab. I would even be willing to give up some time and $$ to make that happen.
