i’m not going to lie. i’ve never been a fan of guy back in the days when i played sf as a recreational game (always my favorite)
I just beat a2 with him. The guy has alot of mix up potentials. Rush kicks low with mk high with hk. qcf izuna drops/ elbows. mk to hurricane kick. hp to turn around punch. punch combos. JUMPING DOWN MP = crazy elbow. anti air special. and above all, he’s fast as fuck.
should be fun to dabble with his play style :] he’s alot of fun running around all over the place
I can’t wait to try him out. I wonder if his theme will be a remix of his SFA3 theme, his FF theme, or his SFA theme?

Well, now that I think about it, if they give him his chains back then he could end up being a char that’s fun to play, but is still hard to win with because of the damage scaling. Especially if they give him chains that need to be hit-confirmed with shorts or jabs. With the way SFIV plays, he could end up being a char who gets most of his damage from resets/mixups. eg. Chain -> reset -> bushido leap -> elbow/throw

Guy is the only worthwhile addition to this game.
Adon and Cody both look stupid and sound even more retarded.
It seems that not all hope is lost though. When Ibuki is announced there can be ninja fights.
I agree 100% about Poison. That would be amazing.
But imagine how bad that super will be in SSF4…Bushin Hasso Ken and Gorai Kyaku are much more practical…Guy needs all the help he can get, imo. I seriously hope Musou Renge isn’t in SF4. He needs to be able to reliably combo his Ultra/Supers.
man I know my boy BLAZE25 jezzed his pants when they confirmed GUY in ssf4. If guy is like the a2 guy, he’s going to beast on a lot of people in tournaments!!!
I don’t think it’d necessarily be bad at all…imagine if its a zero frame grab Ultra like UAB…except obviously Guy can get in a lot easier than Gief…especially if you factor it into his mixup game, it could be very dangerous.
…imagine if it’s some shitty 60000 frames startup command grab like akuma’s ultra.
Considering guy’s blazing speed i’d highly doubt they’d even think of giving him a 0 frame command grab ultra.
Im just so happy to hear Guy is in there. I was hoping for Karen (Well my friend was I know he’s mad) but Guy was my first real dedicated main for Alpha series. Cody is ok I guess, I think Adon is a great addition since he will give sagat playes a run for the money.
I love characters will a great high low mix up game, so it should be interesting to see. I just hope the balance is much better than now. So many characters in SFIV are almost usless againts many other characters because they don’t have enough punishing attacks. I also hope they don’t make Guy one of the weaker newcomers, theres always one.

Soo i don’t know much about Guy, but can somebody just tell me, did he steal the primary lotus from Rock Lee, or did Rock Lee steal the primary lotus from Guy? His ultra looks unbelievably similar to Lee’s primary Lotus

Guy’s Izuna Drop Ultra looks SICK. I can’t wait to play with him!. Also, Bunshin combo into EX Hurricane in the corner, and the elbow dodges fireballs. Hell yeah.
So I assume it is possible to do Bunshin, EX Hurricane to Ultra (FADC?) in the corner?
