i was basically forced to play gief since i don’t have a stick – i simply can’t do srk moves, but the analog controller is great for 360 moves.
LOL, same thing happened to me when I first got my japanese stick. coming from the american stick, i could only use geif right on that thing. took me like 3 months to get used to it so I could start playing shotos again.
Where can I get a Japanese stick? and what’s the difference? I’ve only tried the SF4 fightstick, which I hate – I really don’t like that “ball” grip, and the whole thing feels kinda flimsy to me.
The madcatz sf4 te stick has all the top quality Japanese parts. Yeah, it feels weird at first. It’s going to take a long time to get used to, but once you do, you won’t look back. The square gate at first is awkward, but once you learn how to use the corners you should eliminate jump forward and back issues as well as down block. I know at high level those problems are pretty rare, but if you use the corners of the square gate, you never have them at all. I can play both American and Japanese sticks now, I don’t even notice the difference any more.
