SSF4AE2012 online avoid list

lol stopped reading at: you should win regardless of your choice of character.

threads like this are a joke. just sayin’

You lose almost no BP on losses and you gain a lot when winning. A 30% winrate still means a steady increase in BP up until a certain point. You just have to play a lot.

Actually, at low level he’s incredibly easy.

Define low level.

…low level players are winning with Akuma?

No… You stopped reading at “If you’re better than your opponent”. Stay free then…

EDIT: No on second thought forget it. I’ll just go with a sigh and move on…

Low level is where you have a more or less easy time racking up wins with Teleports on almost every wakeup (since people don’t OS) and jumparound Airballs (since people can’t handle those). Then there’s a 3-hit non-meter costing Fireball, a strong DP, damaging punishes, top walkspeed doubled with a quick sweep, etc.
Yes, Akuma becomes reallly difficult later, and yes, he sometimes dies to random hits due to low health/stun, but he has enough abuseable tools to fish in a plethora of gimmicks that make winning at low levels fairly easy.

Venom: You’re calling Daigo “low level”? Interesting.

I wouldn’t exactly call that low level, more mediocre. At true low level you’re lucky to even win with Akuma, as a bigger time investment is definitely needed
before you start winning games with him when compared to most of the cast.

Lol if you don’t play Akuma regularly enough, you become complete ass with him. I play like once a week now and I’m so terrible, losing to people I could beat before. Same can be said for many other characters though. Forget your setups & timing with Akuma and you end up doing stupid highly punishable shit. :frowning:

Anyway on the bright side, picking Yun post 2012 results in “LOL YUNS NERFED” messages. Got at least 5 of those yesterday. This is what I have to expect now.

Someone that needs to be added to the list is Iceman3434. I beat him once in ranked and he found me again the next round, turned on his mic and just yelled obscene things and racial slurs while playing. Then had the nerve to send me a message, about how I can only ‘grab’ and how I’m a -insert racial slur-. Just completely unpleasant and un-needed. Avoid him, unless you just want to troll him by grabbing. He can’t tech to save his life, which is what I ended up abusing the final found as he went into turbo mode with his bad mouth

What he said ^

Man the only good poke Akuma “had” was fst.HK? GTFO. 8 out of 10 Akuma players don’t even come up with their own set ups and they’re still bitching about having to “relearn all of them” (nope.) Akuma really does not take any more of an investment than other characters once you get past low levels unless you’re an innovator. The high level difficulty of Akuma in general is a myth; every character has set ups that require strict timing and very few characters have the normals that Akuma players often show a desire for. The only reason he’s legitimately “harder” to use at the highest levels is his low health and stun, which give you less room for errors (and therefore forces you figure out the other player much faster.) Having less room for mistakes is no small matter, but with damage being generally lowered from vanilla while retaining great escape options somewhat negates this. “But Breaker, teleport sucks!” Well, you have a FADC-able 3f DP, a teleport, a back dash, blocking, and a focus-throw OS. That’s a lot of options to account for when you look at just about everyone else.

Anyway, everyone should avoid C The Breaker and anyone else who uses Seth (so far this includes Za1th, kstoute, DaProblem, Recreate, and however you type TommyGunz.) A perverted bald nude man dashing around and hugging people is just not appropriate in this game.

Man Gattsu is the homie, we all have our ill moments…stop acting like you’re 100% innocent

Speaking about Robocod7, don’t hate the guy, he’s the only one who succeeded to make me laugh with an hatemail.

ONI : You play like a pedo

ME : Yeah, researches demonstrated that pedos like to play dudley and punish random shoryus hard.

ONI : No, you black and block and block and block and block, like a stat padding piece of shit.

ONI : No, u were blocking the whole time, and ducking, it’s called turtling and pedos like you use to rape points out off people, expect posts about you on forums

ME : woooooah, posts about me on forums, now that’s scary.

ONI : Fuck off you boring cunt

Laughed hard XD

pointless to argue, no one wants to admit the character they use is easy mode at any lvl. NO MATTER HOW OBVIOUS

What???.. Yeah dude, you should probably play as Akuma before posting something like that… I’m sure you’ll win lots of matches against scrubs up until B rank (5000 BP). But if you didn’t put in the time to learn matchups and practice your setups, good luck trying to beat anyone who doesn’t suck at this game with any consistancy. I’ve hardly (more like NEVER) seen ANY Akuma players above 8K BP use low-level tactics like throw Air-FB or Teleport all day and win against anyone decent in this game… And I’ve played really good players (JR, HondaTech, IPeru and Wolfkrone to name a few).

Trust me, you can’t afford to make mistakes with Akuma. Even one mistake against the wrong character (like Viper for instance) and you can kiss 50% (or more) of your life goodbye. In Vanilla, you could alwyas make that back with one or two combos into stun. But in AE 2012? Nope…

Nah dude… That’s not easy level. It’s beginner players not knowing how to play this game. You’re not gonna win very many matches with just “gimmicks”. Sure, you may look at someone like JR and think “Man, what a scrub! All he does is DF and random demons all day!”, but the truth is his setups and execution are what force you to fall for them, and believe me, some of his setups are plain evil and unless you’re really good you’re falling for it every time. Heck, even GREAT players fall for JR’s antics… LOL!

Akuma is difficult to start with because of his health/stun being low, but also because if you don’t know how to use all his tools to the fullest, you’re not really going to be able to capitalize on every chance to get the most damage out of every situation against an opponent. And that’s really important when you play as Akuma: you have to be able to take a good chunk of damage (BnB’s) or be able to setup an opponent for continued pressure that nets steady damage (Vortex) or you’re not going to be winning many games with him.

How did you come to that conclusion? Daigo is hardly a “low-level” player, just from his experience in SF and his knowledge of the game mechanics alone… Aw Hell no! I’d never call him low-level… Even if he picked Hakan, he’d still be a beast! LOL!!

Yes, that’s… the description of low level.

Yes, you do. I have no clue why you suddenly start talking about setups and vortex and blah… You get an easy ~2k PP with Akuma just spamming jumparound Airballs, pressing no button other than Sweep and teleporting on every wakeup. You win a LOT with abusing stupid gimmicks at low level. And Akuma has a LOT of stupid gimmicks.

Before you edited your post you wrote something like “Yeah everyone wins against Daigo with Akuma blabla sure”. In response to me stating that it’s easy to rack up wins at low level. 1+1 = Daigo is low level.

And you lose more than you win at that level. Which was my point. B rank isn’t high or even “mid” level, it’s low. And you’re not getting above it if you play like that.

That are unsafe as fuck, especially against random DP mashers and lag. Play against anybody good to decent, and gimmicks are worthless. They’ll maybe net you a round or two, but players who at least know the basics are gonna wreck you.

And no, you can’t really get to 2K PP just spamming sweep and air FB. I wish… :shake:

And that’s why I edited the post: because I KNEW sarcasm of that level would go completely over everyone’s head in this thread… :coffee:

In any case, we now return to your regular programming…

annnd venom retorts with his online comeback!

ooooh is that a smiley face drinking coffee? lets see how vulpes handles his implied relaxed mood!

this has turned out to be one great battle of wits!

If you honestly believe you cannot maintain 2,000 PP with Akuma by doing lolstuff then I’m not going to come up with retorts like Vulpes is. You can just watch meteo’s double perfect of the number 2 Akuma on XBL or you can watch me and a bunch of other people win games by simply spamming sweep into “vortex” (read: no set ups, just dive kicks, cross up tatsu, and fake cross ups.)

And I’ve played an ass ton of Akuma players above 8k BP trying to derp me out with air fbs and random demon flips. I played a character with 750 health for two years, dumb shit doesn’t stop me from trying to take risks. Nobody has 100% safe mix ups but oh boy does Akuma do it better than anyone else.

Spoiler
