I have my regional settings to all. (I’m pretty sure he was from the US)
I very rarely get rage mail. I usually get “ggs” or something similar. Sometimes I get some messages about how annoying Fuerte is but it’s never bitter mail…it’s usually all in jest.
And whenever I get the urge to SEND rage mail (if I get thrown a million times, if I get flowcharted to death, if I lose due to lag, etc.)…I stop and remember that it’s just a game. It is just a game. No need for me to get worked up over something so trivial.
But I OFTEN send “u mad?” mail (whenever someone kicks me or leaves after I beat them).
I got gg after perfecting someone’s C. Viper with Abel in ranked. I played someone else, did the same thing, and he called me a *** and proceeded to send me some…rather lewd picture messages.
I beat a guy, he sends me this
Him:“Your the worst SSF4 player I have ever seen I can’t believe it.Scub”
Me: “LOL”
Him: "Your garbaje, your garbaje, your garbaje, all you can do is target combo into ultra this, and ex legs into that, your garbage.

I played a 0 point Cammy last night, was obviously new to the game. Beat him very easily, he landed one hit per round.
He instantly leaves the lobby and I get a message pop up.
Though to myself… ‘here we go… hatemail…’
The message said ‘Yay! I managed to hit you :D’
Was nice to see not everyone on PSN is a hatemailing douche bag and has a sense of humour.
I recently set my main aside (Juri) to pick Dan up as an alternate. So going into my first vs match, I get totally owned. Shortly thereafter, I get a message from the guy saying “Dan is great, keep working on it” which was refreshing.
After a couple hours with Dan, I polished up my game a bit and ranked up to C+ and was winning maybe 75% of my matches. After a few wins, I get a message from somebody I played earlier: “Do a different move ***”.
I admit, I have been destroying a lot of beginner players with the Dankukyaku + back throw move. Is it my problem if he can’t repeatedly block the move? Anyway, I go back and watch the replay of me playing against his Ken and see that I hardly even used the Dankukyaku mixup. I knocked him down with a variety of EX moves. So, I’m not sure what his problem is.
Some guy sent me a message saying “you suck” after I beat him. I responded with “yup”.
I have notifications turned off so most times I dont see hatemail till a while after its been sent. I dont even read them I just hit X rapid fire style and delete all messages.
got a 1% on my disconnection rate because of this.
On another note, got me one from JAGERMIESTA. Didn’t win the match unfortunately, but I took alot of chances against Gief and I was playing Seth:

I messaged him back asking: “What’s so funny?” He never responded. People seems to have Seth #15 confused with the boss of the game (I think it’s #18) who has much more health and does much more damage. Also has a better tandem engine.

this is an old one but a 3.3kPP\ ??BP ryu name CovalierDaGreat sent me some funny hate mail after i beat his predictable ryu tatsumaki spam. first one i deleted but it said something like "keep running bitch"
i sent him "u mad?"
he replys “eat 10 dicks with hotsauce” <---- lol…
i replied "ty for the lols"
then he says “i never once met a dhalsim player i respected”
i just left it at that. Some people get so salty after losing to dhalsim. They either get salty, or i get compliments on my sim.
Then at least you know you’re doing something right. I bet even Arturo gets hate messages for his Sim.
He is an annoying as character but I’m amazed at how people expect you to rushdown with Sim.
