I actually laughed because it was a great message, and also he didn’t reply back. By the way, this was a T.Hawk player who grabbed me a lot from out of range, so fml.
One I received not too long ago was a hatemail about my Dudley. He complained about me catching him because he was guessing on which way to block. I mixed him up a bit in R1 and 2 and I won. I got him a lot on the overhead, and when he finally blocked up, I caught him low and linked from c.lk c.lp s.hk Jet Upper > Super. This was the message:
“stop hitting me on wake up u frikin scrub u suck how bout u giv me a chance to fight back bitch”

For some reason I’ve gotten 0 hatemail since I picked SSFIV back up, only GGs. I thought people hated El Fuerte.

I once received a message with about 15 seconds of angry breathing, I really didn’t know how to reply to that.
Got kicked off a lobby in Endless after I got about 7 wins with Dhalsim:

i played BkNyFiNeZT who was a fairly decent ryu. out of our 3 matches i won 2 times and he took 1 win. i used boxerand headbutted after combos and in between his blockstrings. during the final round of the last matchi have no health and he has a little more then me. so he does a jump in and a blockstring then goes in for a tick throw but i tech then do a headbutt immediately afterwards and it connects so i juggle with ultra and right before the final punch hit him he rage quits and says “random headbutt scrub” so i reply “lmao thats funny coming from a person who mashes dp during my combos and blockstrings”
i wasnt sure where to post this, but has anyone had the distinct plesure of coming across someone on psn with the name “sherm” with some numbers attached? ive fought him a lot. many times in the row in the past just because i wanted to beat his akuma. had almost 10000 BP
forget infiltration. he is the cheapest man on earth. he expertly throws obstacle courses of jump, regular, ex, and “shakunetsu” hadokens. when you get close, he teleports. when you get close and bait a teleport, you can punish with a throw sometimes but after he stands he always teleports away again. rinse, repeat. if hes not busy he will taunt as the time runs out. neither of my mains can punish him consistently and i dont counterpick.
out of curiosity i sent him a message today simply asking why he plays that way. if there was a semi intelligent reason, i would definitely keep trying to take his akuma down with my sak and viper. his response in very few immature words words was that he plays that way just to get people to send him angry messages and ragequit/stand there and he enjoys it very much.
i sent a reply only saying “how sad.” he never joined my room again.
Tosses lotsa fireballs? Vs Sakura? And you’re not punishing this why?
trust me, if sakura has it and it can punish a fireball or teleport, then i have punished him with it before. focus dash an air fireball and punish with shouken. ex otoshi, ex sho through the fireball. tatsu over fireballs. ex fireballs to punish predictable air fireballs etc.
he is unpredictible enough to make punishes useless. i can never start an offense. and he always manages to get away and i start back at square 1. he makes you come to him and when you do, either on ground or in the air he always punishes with srk or teleports. if i punish a teleport he usually does jump tatsus to escape. again i may be able to reach him with some dashes and a hp sho but if he sees me coming he teleports on landing.
trust me from the outside looking in its easy to say why didnt you just “blank” but i dont think youd understand unless you played him lol.
Does he do combos and stuff or does he lame it out? It sounds like an incredibly annoying match the way you describe it. If he air tatsus away you can get most of that distance back with some dashes. If you predict an air tatsu, do a nj.mk or nj.hp, swat him out of the air. If he teleports in that situation you should be able to punish after that. If you can keep a cool head with Sakura you can eat Akumas that try to lame it out alive. It’s when they start doing wakeup mixups that she gets in trouble. :lol:
Hey I put up with this sort of play with Fei Long. It’s excruciating, but it is a kind of legitimate keepaway that works. I have no idea why Capcom made Akuma’s teleport so damn good in this game.
if i start to punish his fireballs too much he does do combos when i get in close or he just srk. no demon flip or wakeup shenanigans. just teleport and throw more various fireballs. if his combo hits it ends with a srk or sweep and he teleports away. if i block i punish if i can and he teleports at his earliest convenience to throw more fireballs from full screen. focus dashing isnt reliable with even slight lag. even going from walk to block isnt reliable at times.
if he air tatsus i can try and dash to get ground back but he will just teleport or air tatsu again if im in range to do anything.
he is the definition of laming it out.
Akuma’s teleport is not that good trust me. If you know how to punish it then it hurts like a mother. You have a whole 60 frames to punish it. A few good OS will just own it.

I couldn’t touch him at all and both of our rounds went to timeouts. There was a Vega I watched who did okay with him - he’s obviously quite skilled as he can play either way. Would love to know how to get in on him, because I totally couldn’t touch him. Obviously there’s a lot of people with this problem given his PP/BP.
Like I said, if you predict an air tatsu (I.E. he doesn’t catch on fire when you get close) Sakura has several neutral jumping normals that will knock him outta an air tatsu. Her neutral jump normals are awesome.
my observations on his playing are all after the fact. after you finally manage to get inside the fireballs and punish his teleports he isnt predictable in anything. he may air tatsu or he may s.hk combo, throw, or teleport. its really just a draining match.
If you are playing Viper then you should not be having trouble with that stuff. No Akuma in his right mind is going to chuck plasma when a S.Hammer trade is horrendous. Not to mention with her mobility you should be able to nail that teleport every time.
my viper play isnt the best. sak is really my main so my punishing with viper isnt on point. i dont get in close enough to do much with viper. i shound try risking that trade more with the hp seismo but i still have no way to get inside the fireballs to do any real damage
FA Dash is your friend for dealing with air fireballs. Not to mention with Sakura if you see him throw a Shaku you have a full screen punish that works every time. The only fireballs you have to be super careful with is his normal ground ones because of all the games he can play with those. His airfireballs are actually quite easy to get around.
Just try this. If you see him throw an air fireball near you and he is with in range of a sweep, then sweep him. You would be shocked at how vulnerable he is upon landing.
