Rage quit & hate mail are things I personnally don’t understand. Nobody wants to loose, so why giving the opponent’s a chance ?
And I don’t say that because I’m good, I actually suck with my juri (can’t tech, too much on the offensive side with little defense, bad with distances, etc… ), but it’s MY OWN FAULT, and I’m slowly ( really slowly ) learning.
I mean if anyone could be a god in 5 minutes, what would be the point ?
I was playing a dude, and he quit during a demon animation which would have ended the match.
So I send a “u mad?”, and I get this back:
“nope people with garbage connections liek you don’t deserve wins waste of my time. i could barly fucking move”
You couldn’t move, but you could do mk > hands multiple times. Hmm…
The connection was fine, I had zero trouble with lag in that match. Lag is not one way. If it were garbage, why quit at the last possible second when I’m about to win? This was the 3rd round, by the way, and he didn’t feel like leaving earlier.
Also got this one after beating a Guy with Sagat:

I’ve got two recently in the past couple days… I play Ibuki. I got one where I tore this guy UP! Perfected him in the first round and he got like 2 or 3 hits in the second round. all he could say was … “***” lol
The other one … I beat a ryu and he messages me “I’m gonna get you” then 3 matches later I lost the match by a pixel and another guy messages me “That was for my Cuz (insert first guy here)” lol
I wish someone would send me sagat hate mail

A Rufus player beat my newb Cody (he just BARELY got in a hit that brought my life bar lower than his before the timeout, after three close rounds during which I basically did nothing but poke and antiair him), and sent me the following message:

speaking of taunting, i have one thing i LOVE to do with Gouken.
If i get a knock down, and they’re literally a chip worth of health away from dying, i usually throw an LP fireball. This 99% of the time hits them and even if they’re blocking it kills them. IMMEDIATELY after i throw it if i know it’s gonna hit, i go into a taunt (his taunt 1 is his ground stomp). This gives the illusion that gouken stomps the ground so hard that it caused you to get hit by the fireball.
I had one person send me a “WTF??!?!” after i did this to him one time, i replied with:
“didn’t you know? Goukens taunt makes his fireball hit low so you have to be crouch blocking in order to not get hit by it”
he responded with:
“oh shit dude, i didn’t know that, i’ll have to keep that in mind thanks!!”
I smiled a smile of smiling and then went on my way, content in the fact i contributed just a little bit more to online shinanigans

I don’t usually reply to “gg” messages unless it’s someone I know, or if they showed me something that made me genuinely admire their skill.
I don’t mean seem offensive or salty (if they won) by not responding, though. It’s just that I get that every other match.
Had a Ryu complain that Bison scissors were cheap a few days ago. I did see him again in a ranked battle somewhere, but decided not to play him.

I leave my match selection to same region therefore I only play Canadians. Therefore I never get nasty messages, I find us Canadians “nicer” hahaha.

Always taunt your opponents after a match with your own custom phrase. Gives the game more personality. I have gotten saltly replies though like grabby lamey.
Yesterday I got a message from a dude blaming “my bad conection” for his loss, and we ended sending each other like 15 or 20 messages bashing each other. It was a lot of fun jajajajajaja.
