There’s like, a 200000000% decrease in rage quitters from SFIV, it seems. Which is weird, because disconnect rate is a lot more hidden compared to SFIV.
90% of the population is idiotic. you would be suprised how much stupidity there is, especially in Europe and America.
lol hes on my FL, I doubt he was mad or anything. He probably was just tired of playing you or something
or he was mad
He was mad.
I lmfao.
Capcom really should have allowed taunting after the KO like it was in 3S. It looks so ridiculous in SF4, people online taunt for half a second then crouchblock right away. For lack of a better term at this time, I’ll just call it “mousey”.
Had a rage quit last night. First one in quite awhile too. Dude’s GT is Mr scRub n00b. Atleast he’s honest about it.
Anyway, I’ve been playing Juri lately for the hell of it, and got matched with Mr n00b in ranked. Horrible, horrible Ryu. Even my admittedly scrubby Juri kept him from doing much to her. Dude finally jumps in and does a random U1. I just simply held U/F, jumped over it, and ultra’d him. It was actually pretty damned funny looking. I did it so fast that Juri landed between Ryu’s outstretched arms and in the ultra freeze it looked like he was trying to hug her while wearing that “oh crap” look.
But yeah, as soon as the U2 started, “Player has left the session”. And it was only round 1. Asshole
I don’t make such a huge deal about DCs in this game cause they seem to happen randomly sometimes. Had a match where the game disconnected when blacking out to the last round. I hate to be acuse of bailing out when stuff like that happens. I will say that players are more mature about it now. I think most of the brats that used to play this game got tired of it and moved on. There’s still a few nimrods hanging around though (looking at you BLACKHAWKxDOWN) but for the most part players aren’t so quick to judge anymore.
Having said that though, I did have a DC against mysticism when I was about to do a U2 to win the match. I’m not saying he did it, but it looks supisous. I’ll have to fight him a second time to confirm if he’s a real RQer.
Also shoutout to Cathexic, who’s decided he doesn’t want to play me anymore and will not say why. Stay salty bro.
On XboxLive it is easy enough. Every time someone has rage quit on me, I just fill out a negative review for that person and I never see them in a lobby ever again.
Oddly enough, most of the people who have rage quit on me had high BP/PP and it was quite obvious that I was going to win the match.
B3NTL3Y B3AM3R on xbl ragequit in player matches lol. played a decent ibuki then a crappy dee jay and RQ in middle of his wake up ultra animation.
i have a good story about the echange of messages later on in the “what players message you…” thread
TekkenLordW rage quitted with his awful Sakura lol.
Seabass40 RQed on me in a rank match just before delivering the final blow after whiffing an EX shoryu against my Seth. I sent him a message:
“Why so salty dude?”
He replied:
“Why fight ljke a pussy scrub”
I retorted:
“The only one with a pussy is you Miss. I don’t ragequit when someone kicks my ass.”
He goes:
“You still fight like a scared scrub like all rank scrubs do.”
I rushed his Ryu into a corner and start wailing on him while he took chunks of health away with random EX moves and blockstring throws. Had to back off cause he was eating my life away with dumb shit.
Given the state of SSF4 online play it’s kind of hard to determine whether someone rage quit or just got dropped. I have been dropped in when I have been winning and losing.
Though some cases are pretty obvious.
HAHAHa cathexic doesnt play me anymore either. I joined his game and “the host has left session” i join again and same thing. So im thinking ima just mess wit him and join again. He then kicks me. Whenever i see his game i join it just for the lols.
Wow, nobodies posted me yet?
I’ve quit MANY MANY times, however, only to reset my BP and PP with Ken so people think ima flowchart scrub. It is actually rather fun.
I don’t remember the guy’s name in particular, but I joined his ranked lobby when he had 1 bar. The lag was so bad the game kept freezing for 20 seconds and this clown as taunting me with his Sagat against my first time Makoto.
Ironically he DCed when he was winning which means his internet had to be pretty damn bad, he’s not a ragequitter per say, but it’s still funny. I usually tend to think I’m the one lagging, but that never seems to be the case since only random matches lag.
He was a low ranked Sagat both PP and BP wise, if you live on the east coast, I’d avoid him. I’ll update this post with his gamertag when I can.
Same here. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes it blantantly obvious. Sadly alot of people do make a huge deal about it with their typical kneejerk reactions. A DC happens and it’s “OMG! He quit! He quit! Must leave negative feedback!!!”
I could care less about my XBL Rep, but it’s rather sad that before vanilla my “Quit Early” was at around 15% I think(thanks to Halo 3 and it’s random boots and lag switchers when I used to play that). Now it’s up to 37%, thanks to those kneejerk reactions to the occasional random DCs that seem to happen. People are just really vindictive or something.
Yeah. I made way too many enemies over those mishaps back in Vanilla SF4. Did managed to make good on some of those players though like Craptacular One (a very good rose player) . Thinking about putting a camera nearby so I can snap a quick picture whenever a dc happens and posting it on the web so they know I didn’t bail.
I bet he’s boosting with his friends, or using lag tactics against lousy players. Ah, the joys of being number 1 on an online leaderboard no one outside(and inside) of the XBL community gives a shit about.
Also, BGs to everyone who hosts an 8-man tournament, get eliminated in the first qualifier, and bail out. causing the tournament to end abruptly. Saw an amazing Sim player take out a Ryu scrub(the host) and he gets salty and leaves. A big kick in the nuts to all the players who had to wait for everyone else to show.
For real. I truly don’t understand the logic behind that. Why host a tourney if you’re planning to quit as soon as you lose? It’s sheer idiocy.
