If they’ve taken that away, I hope they’ve given him something huge to replace it…

I bet if they take it away they’ll keep its damage nerf too.

Hm actually he isn’t really clear in that twitter convo. Kim complains about autocorrect then Hamad says ‘they removed it, I talked to combo’ but then goes on to say ‘yea it’s no longer 5f’. So it’s actually not really clear if autocorrect was reverted or if only the startup was adjusted. I’d probably have my money on autocorrect staying but speed and invincibility reverted to 2012.

Kim1234 is (or at least was) an english teacher in Japan. He has a pretty godlike bison. I played him a lot in Yokohama back in the day. He’s a good source.

On a positive note, delayed wakeup may end up bring Guile’s greatest buff. No one probably needs that more.

I have seen the recent changes and there were no words on autocorrect there. But i think the damage is 450 and startup is 5F.

Does anybody else knows about the U1 auto correct ability being removed? I really don’t care that much about it, as long as we keep the 5 frame U1.

Hey guys this is my first post for over 2 years so I’m glad to be back on the forums. I really can’t be bothered going through all the posts. I have played the game quite regularly after taking a break form the game for about 6 months after a close family member died.

I thought I’d give some thoughts on some of the various match ups. I may not have covered all of them:

  • Against Zangief I found that against a lot of the high level ones I played against I had to use s MK a lot as they always go for the long range J HP or J MK to counteract Guile’s C HP. I also noted that a number of Gief players I played against will use C MK to slowly close in on you without jumping in.

  • Akuma - He gets away with a some stuff like demon flipping behind me and landing a C LP while I’m blocking the opposite direction. This is one of his many damaging set ups. After a knockdown, I’ve noticed that Akuma will either go for the demon flip mixups or the cross up tatsu. Backdashing to escape cross tatsu’s does not always work since Akuma’s OS is Ultra 1 to catch you on the back dash.

I found it important that if you block his C HK and have a down charge, flash kick should be used used immediately to punish.

  • Evil Ryu - IMO he has one of the best Focus attacks in the game and lots of dangerous setups.

  • Sakura - if you can maintain space and not let her hit confirm a C MK > Shoryuken, I think that half the battle is one. She is dangerous once she knocks you down.

Watch out for EX Jump smash as Players with EX metre will most likely try to use this move from full screen on reaction to Sonic booms. Either break the timing on SB’s or refrain from using EX SB’s.

  • Hakan is not such an easy match up. He is pretty strong in this version and I haven’t that many good Hakan players recently.

  • Gouken - he has a strong zoning game and extremely damaging combos. Try and get the early lead if you can and do not let him get too much of a lead on you early in the round. He has a pretty good range of defensive/anti air options to keep you out (eg reversal, EX tatsu, EX fireball).

  • Sagat - Most of you know the match up. One thing you should be wary of is his Kara uppercut which goes through Fireballs. you will only get hit by this if the Sagat player correctly anticipates the SB

Getting more and more used to using jump cancel st.lk and lk flashkick to get out of 1f unblockables. Was able to avoid Dudley’s corner lk set up last night at Next Level. Was also evading Abel’s and Rose’s unblockable setups as well (although I was using plinking cr.mp on wake up to reset the situation).
