speaking of meter waste: second round. compared to xxx => super => followup the dmg is like meh²³²³
holy that was a waste of meter. No reward gotta love it.
Yeah he seems to fadc a lot, he’s a good enough Gen but he needs to keep a bit more basic sometimes.
He also needs to stop putting that godawful napoleon-esque music in every video he does.
s.MP is +6 frames. Ultra 2 is 1+8
means that s-mp has +9 frames? ultra is 9 frames aswell.
Trust me if you can land it I’ll bow.
err, way to put down Street’s intelligence lol.
Street was trying to clarify if they meant Crane j.HKx2 because they said crane j.mk which doesn’t make sense at all.
Also, everyone is talking about landing Counter Hit s.MP, not regular s.mp. So if it’s +9 to +9 then it’s possible to hit ultra, but just insanely hard because it’s a 1 frame and a CH lol.
I don’t know, I land it once a match usually. Honestly, you just have to feel that they are going to be throwing out a cr. lk or trying to respond with something. The timing isn’t too strict either. Feels like about a 2 framer.
Also, I’ve been using st. mp, st. mp, st. mk xx hands as my main punisher. Is there something better I could be doing?
s.mp, s.hp, lk gekiro does more damage (233 damage / 289 stun ) + knockdown.
mabye throw tech with s.mp would be an option to get if off frequently.
also: anyone notcied that if u mash HP when hands come out u do more hits / damage? xD never saw it noticed in the combos ^^
Ya I tap HP to get the full hits if I don’t have meter. Might as well right?
I wasn’t trying to put down his intelligence. He said “Not sure what that 2x is for.” so I was baffled on how that could be confusing. I admit I meant to type HK, but I was in a hurry and didn’t realize it. anyways it’s old news.
i just pulled of a useless combo. lol.
crane jhkx2, mantis s.mp,s.mk hands, fadc s.mp, s.mk ex hands punch ultra 2.
ultra did doooodooooo for damage lol. all together a good 400+ damage.
worth a damn? nope. none what so ever.
If you were to pull that out I think a sweep would be the only useful thing after the EX hands.
That combo Q&A was a simple miscommunication, so it’s all good. As for the combo way up there, I tried it for 10 minutes and couldn’t land it. The closest I got was FADC on 2nd hit of MP hands and crane c.MP part getting blocked. I think I whiffed crane c.MP when I FADCed on 3rd hit of HP hands. I’m going to try c.LK -> s.MP -> crane c.MP instead of c.LK -> c.LP -> blah next week.
<3 Street.
I’m pretty sure this is doable, just the timing is faster than in Vanilla for the Mantis s.MP, Crane c.MP
This is not a combo but something that I notice not a lot of Gen players use. I try to use it as much as possible because it really throws off players and can setup some combos that are listed here. Sakura players use it all the time.
Basically if you were to do an air to air hit. You both jump in the air toward each other and Gen throws out a Jump Mantis MK and that beats Ryu’s Air Normal(doesn’t matter what it is right now). Just as you both land you dash under him to go to his other side aka cross under. Basically the same tactic as if you were do do a Oga, Mantis s.LP to reset, Dash under then go from there. This tactic is really good vs Charge characters. I apologize if this was mentioned anywhere else but I don’t see it in recent posts, and I don’t see a lot of Gen players use it. Just a tip everyone. GGs
This works for pretty much every character unless their dash is slow. It’s great to continue the pressure with an mk hands combo which is safe-ish on block anyway.
I do this alot with Seth too, stuns people really fast too, hatemail ensues.
Very True. In some cases it’s nice that not a lot of Gen players use it so most people don’t expect it. But I’d rather give to the community.
it’s noting new, but i would only use it occasionally, not too often. depending on the character you’ll eat a srk or a command throw (against chars that have them, i’d never do it)
I do it with Seth though because he has an srk aswell, if it hits I’d fadc into headstomps x3>divekick for another reset, but you know all about those headstomps zUkUu
