Been trying to learn Cody for the first time ever.
Ruffian kick or Crack Kick into f+mp is hella useful in the corner. After f+mp, you can cross them up while they’re still in the air for a reset. Do any other combo or just do EX rocks into U2!
You can go for a high/low mixup after the f+mp juggle too (cross them up or not). Then go for a overhead or low attack to Ruffian Kick to f+mp then do the crossup for some shenanigans.
Cody might end up being a secondary of mine after hitting the lab more and searching around these forums. :nunchuck:
this has probably been answered already…but yeah you can to f.mp after a crack kick…and then you can dash up afterwards…maybe on some characters yo can dash under…but iim not sure yet
what makes cody better in AE isnt so much his changes but the changes to his bad matchups…but I think gief got worse because of the gief player blocks anything…(im taliking max range CU or Zonk) its free jab spd…but having the 3 frame lk is extremely useful
mhhh dunno. but in the first moment I think gief is slightly better to handle now. ex gh knock down being taken out makes cody live much longer.
but time will tell. haven’t seen any u2 mix ups so far.

after an ex ruffian kick (doesnt matter if it crosses up or not) do immediately a crack kick and then neutral jump [into j.hp or whatever]. beats out/is save vs sagat, yang, cammy, gen, dudley non-ex, yun non-ex, lariat, adon etc it’s save against all the stuff as his backthrough jf.hk setup is.
mhhh… what about a new thread dedicated to meaty/savejump setups? with a nice overview of the stuff found so far.

same as I posted as above, but this also works against yun-ex and dudley-ex. so it’s save against 4 and above. …okay turns out to be even stranger, save against all versions of flash kick? O_O
in fact, I don’t even know how this can work as it would contradict with the landing frame-rule. Can someone test this aswell please? Maybe I’ve flawed test results. need confirmation.

this works perfectly against sagat due to his height. can lead to fake crossups. (u hit him in the back, but need to block “normal”)
if you let out the s.lp, you will do an entirely save jump against all characters (doesn’t hit them, but it’s nice for mix up and looks very ambiguous)
You can safejump 4 framers, it just requires frame perfect timing. You can easily test with Ryu’s sweep, shit is insta safe jump versus even 4 framers.
