Did anyone notice Gouken damage was nerf. Jump Hp did 150 or 140 now only 105. Standing did 150 or 140 now 105 also.

Any idea what the invincibility frames are the super now? I’ve traded twice now with jump ins on wake up.
First 5 frames are fully invincible. If you trade, it means you used it too early.
It is easy to use too early cause we are not used to having something that come out so fast.
some things i noticed
denjin speed 2 is easy to get to, maybe 1-3 rotations, but speed 3 requires 6-7 of them, its hard to get them all in and release at the right time for counter FADC U2, and speed 2 wont connect of FADC. there are a few situations that require speed 2 , and some 3. for instance if you connect with the 2 hits of jmp you can do speed one, but if you only connect with one hit, you need speed 2 denjin to combo. im assuming palm fadc denjin mid screen requires speed 3.
lp palm is awesome, it has just enough added distance to be viable as a poke or a any time you think you have time for a cr lp x lp palm. ive been using this one a good bit. a lot more reliable than AE. it used to wiff when you did demonflip kick, cl st mp, lp x lp palm, but now it connects, and you can throw on a super to that.
nice to have the old lp palm back as mp palm. suck it Blanka! and you can style out the kongo fadc palm again.
new hp palm has made me miss a few times just need to get used to it.
new f+mp seems to be more reliable. less trades.
st far mp x hado is nice to keep up pressure and is easier to link off of cl st mp than cr hp x hado was.
OMG i really thought super was the least important buff, but ive been using it all day. you can just wait for a jump in or a blocked attack that you couldnt punish before with cr lp. people were just so careless with gouken, not anymore! maybe it will keep em off.

The issue was never that HP/ MP Palm did too much damage. It was that the new distances on the Palms were out of whack in AE.
It’s a valid complaint. I’m not discrediting anything from the other buffs.
Although, I must say I have a distaste for Gouken being refined in this way he is made more similar to the other characters. Now he pretty much relies on FADC-combos to obtain the damage he used to do in Vanilla. Nevermind the laughable multiple-heights anti-air Kongo nonsense…

I’m really thrown off by all the changes. I lost over 1k pp today. Missed so many denjins. I can’t do the st.mp xx palm even remotely consistently (my fault). I’m missing so many things in the heat of the game.
This gouken will be the best Gouken imo. Really wish we still has super HP palm though.

So since Capcom sucks and PC isn’t getting the update for who knows how long… I’m trying to use an AE PC Mod someone made that uses the ver2012 changes, not sure if everything is right though.
Is Denjin supposed to travel at AE speed with no rotations?
What exactly is the right movement to speed it up? Some people have been saying actual 360 rotations, others say you just gotta hit multiple directions a bunch of times.
And does st.MP combo into MP Palm and Fireball all the time? Or is it distance specific and character specific.

- 5 full 360’s for max speed(but doesnt have to be performed AS 360’s just that many inputs, so as a single 360 takes 8 directions for an input 40 directional inputs are what you need)
3.MP palm I think so, I’ve already had characters where hadou is no. Btw can’t you just get this right by modding MP palm to LP frame data and adding the 1f hitstun to far mp? (I obviously have no clue how modding works :3)
As far as I know, that’s what they did, I’m just trying to see if they did it right.
Denjin on this mod looks like it’s at level 2 speed, even when you don’t touch anything. Then when I do input the movements, it doesn’t change the speed.
I actually nailed someone with it going full speed one round then next round they were full screen so I let it out normal speed and they jumped onto it lol.

Especially when you think cr. fp > palm won’t connect. Just use st. mp > mp palm, or st. mp >lp. hado and follow up with trap/bait of your choice.
You can dominate most situations with footsies and hit confirms just by using 1 button. His mp button is very good.
