Though I suppose it’s not completely wrong to say ‘sky’ as ‘heaven’ can also mean the same thing as in “look to the heavens” (meaning sky) so perhaps that’s why both characters are given… And in any case, Akuma’s Japanese (as far as I know) so I’ll take the Japanese translation anyways!

Of course there gonna make the Denjin blockable. But it got wall bounce, so you get a guaranteed Follow up combo after it or w/e. We don’t know what it does. Akumas ultra doesn’t look bad, it might not fit his demonic shit, but it looks normal | : look at balrogs, or dhalsims, or w/e. You might be able to FADC this shizzle too, and it does good damage =p
Because Akuma’s not generally a silly character, and this move is notably different in style from all the moves he’s had in previous incarnations. I don’t think “silly” has ever been used in the same sentence as any of the other supers he’s had.

wtf is up with Denjin being blockable though? t’s either blockable because it’s not final, exchanges something other than health for being blocked, or is a piece of shit ultra.
Ok homies. Chill about the ultra. I am sure it will be adjusted. Once that wind effect is gone after he makes contact(and some other minor adjustments) I think it will be fine.
All i care about is that it’s comboable. If it is, I will not be using demon anymore unless it’s somehow better in a particular match up(doubt it)
You can’t combo the Ultra2 off FADC SRK. Can’t combo it off LK Tatsu. And can’t combo it of EX Fireball FADC.
And the far.HK start up is longer. So it doesn’t link off st.LP anymore. And the more relevant issue for other normal sized characters is you can no longer link it off fireball FADC either to stand up crouching opponents.

well, the only thing we’re complaining about is the animation. Guess if the gameplay is good or if capcom doesn’t chg anything, we have no choice to stop bitching sooner than later.
I think t hey need to change the whole 2nd ultra, its just looks stupid and its the worst ultra in the game as of now. the swirl effect is really bad. they use the same swirl effect for to many things, at least make many different effects for each character.
It whiffs entirely against crouching opponents. Oh yeh, you also can’t link it off a deep jumping Fierce like Ken’s Ultra1. I don’t see the point of it personally. You can’t use it as an anti air because of the Up Up input. It has to be buffered into dashes or animations. They stressed about a million times it was a beta build and a LOAD of shit was subject to change. But yeh that’s what I noticed. I was more pissed that they took out the far.HK link. It’s his number 1 poke in certain matchups considering cr.MK is so slow. And seeing as Ryu got a 2 hit SRK and Sagat got a 2 hit st.LK plus his Scar thing, I dunno why Akuma actually ended up with less tool than SF4.

Akuma’s far s.HK is like the best normal move in SF4…it could stand to be a touch slower.

Denjin was never about “damage” or “juggle” properties. It was about landing a shit-ton of stun on your opponent. So in that sense, they could’ve made Denjin be unblockable and do like 150 or so damage, but make it do from 500 stun (not charged) to 900 stun (fully charged).

You could always jump over it. Yeah, 3s allowed you to parry it, but it was just easier to jump over it… If you could time it right that is.
