No I never meant that. I am no expert at frame data at all to even come up with that. All I am saying is that in my eyes a shorter legnth of c.mk is a buff and when i say length i do not mean how far it reaches but the time it takes from start up to full recovery. That times is obviously shorter.

From the vids c.mk still works the same as in you can poke effectively with it and now if you wiff you will recover faster because of the shorter duration of the move.

I have nothing to say about the c.mk cancelling to hado because that still works as it did before

Its prob because nobody AA’s with lp dp and trade dp only works with lp, therefore your trade has to be pre-planned rather then accidental like in vanilla.

8:44 and 8:59. two dp trades. I really hope the second one wasn’t a Midpunch DP, because then it looks like they nerfed that one also.

The second DP trade leaves him grounded so it was probably LP DP.
The first trade could have also been LP too?
I really want to know what Dragon Punch properties they changed. In that Arcadia magazine AE changes article someone translated the first change as Dragon Punch “efficiency” changed, but you can also translate that Kanji as “performance” or “ability”.
I’m hoping they add invincibility frames to MP DP. Just one would make me happy!
Can someone report back if they feel a change? Or just test it against Akuma’s MP DP. Do blocked Jab, blocked jab, MP DP with Akuma and get both characters to DP at the same time.

the second dp trade surely is a lp one. The first shall be, but we wont know due yun’s move effect on hit. If that shit traded with the first active frame of a mp dp, Im moving to the new mortal kombat :stuck_out_tongue:

Why would you want to test Ryu’s MP dp against Akumas? Akumas MP dp has had its invincibility frames increased to something stupid like 6 frames or something so ryu’s MP dp would always lose.

Exactly. Once you get full Ultra, try AA’ing with LP dp instead. If you hit them at the peak of your lp dp then you can go straight into Ultra (like we currently can), if you trade then you can also Ultra, both without using any ex meter. There might be situations where trade LP dp into Ultra depending on hit boxes and long range attacks but we’ll only know for sure once we get AE on console.

Actually I live 20 mins from one, and I’ll be going to the arcade on Wednesday at opening so I can test out some combo related stuff. I’ll try to test out as much stuff as I can.

AE Akuma’s MP DP has 5 Frames of Invincibility not 6. His HP DP has 6.

Apologies, your right, Akumas MP DP has 4 invinci frames in SSF4 which has been increased to 5 frames in AE. Akumas HP DP has 6 frames of invincibility.

Cool, please test out lp dp trade into ultra. I want to know if it’s easy to do.

so can u get reversaled out of the blockstring cr.lk cr.lp cr.mk xx fb? someone in another thread said you can but after reading the previous two pages in this thread it seems like an airtight blockstring
