Are those so cheap because they came out a year ago or are they shitty?
Probably the former as they aren’t totally horrible. To me they do feel cheap compared to the TE’s but that’s because TE’s use real arcade Sanwa parts. If one is truly on a budget, the SE’s at this price would make for a decent beginner stick.
Man, if only they shipped overseas. even if they did the shipping would be 50 bucks me sad nao
ops double post sorry.

If you pre-order Super from Amazon, will it be at my door on release day?
if you buy some crazy shipping it will be. just get it from amazon and then go buy it at walmart on release day. when the amazon one comes return it to walmart with the receipt from the one you played.
I bought one January 20th, I just ordered my TE (S) two nights ago.
They aren’t shitty, but they do die out after alittle while. Mine lasted a few months before I started noticing some problems. Particularly button failure.
The Hundred hand slap killed my heavy button, Lightning legs killed the low kick, and I don’t know how the jab died but it did to. Eventually I noticed some problems with the stick but not enough to cause that big of an issue. It’s not unreliable they still work decently enough, just I’d rather move up to the top shelf stuff, for Super.
You can mod them of course, but the point of a stick is its precision compared to regular controller. The SE works well enough for awhile, it handled about 300+ matches within the course of that time and I’m not heavy handed.
300 matches before breaking…
controller = worst dog doo EVER
I got 5,000 matches done with the R1 TE. It has only sorta malfunctioned about a dozen times. Because of something with the PCB, one or two buttons stop responding and you have to replug to get it to work.
Just switch the buttons on the SE stick to Sanwa. Really it makes your stick last way longer. I’ve had mine since June and it still plays very good.
i have 3,000 matches on my hori ex2 and its still 100% functional
$11.99 Shipping! Still a decent deal for a Round 2 TE Fightstick.
Our best Bison player here uses a Dreamcast Joystick (with converter when playing on PS3/360), with probably 10K+ matches, and the stick still works! No mods or fixes have been done to it he says. O_O
Btw Gamestop.com has the SSFIV strat guide listed as coming out on the 20th. So if you want it a week early. Normal price.
I don’t think my Hori’s gotten to 3k yet, but it’s well over 1500, and I haven’t had any issues with it. I did replace the buttons with sanwa buttons, but that was moreso because I wanted to see if I could do it, not because the buttons were terrible. I won’t say the sanwas weren’t infinitely better though.
Everytime I order a game off Amazon with one day shipping its arrives the day of release. Everytime I order door on release day it arrives the day after.
