Updated, thanks!

Thanks for the updates, guess I’ll get the Best Buy deal in Canada, would have picked up the Japanese Collector’s Edition but I can’t understand alot of Japanese so I’ll just wait until someone rips it and adds subs…please tell me that there will not be english subs for the JPN ver.

I just got my 1,400 yen Ibuki figure(30cm!) so that’s bonus enough for me~

So I am guessing that gamestop is really giving out thumb fighters … I really hoped it was a joke.

and they expect that to make people actually want to pre-order from them. They’ll move on to Best Buy.

Not so fast… If memory serves me correctly, the XBox 360 Japanese version of SFIV was region free. If Capcom stick with that trend then SSFIV Japanese version may also be region free. That could potentially mean that importers who have both console systems might be better off with the Xbox 360 version for the Juri animation that the PS3 edition lacks. However - and this is a big but -it’s a risk to import the 360 version while hoping for the best. Capcom may decide to change their tact this time around and region lock SSFIV. We simply don’t know.

The Juri anime would be part of the bonus discs and concerning for the extra material on the bonus discs, i’d hope that if that if they are DVDs they are not region locked, because both console systems would not be able to play them. Most likely they won’t be, but I did not import the Japanese special edition of SFIV the first time round to know whether this was the case with the bonus material. It’ll probably follow the same region locks as the game. If it is a region locked DVD then I guess there’s always multi-region DVD players to play the discs on though.

I must add, as a British gamer, I’m quite disappointed there’s been no announcements concerning a collector’s edtion. I don’t hold out much hope for it now - but Capcom are producing a sweet Monster Hunter Tri bust that they’ve announced today in a collector’s edition pack, despite there surely being more interest in Europe/Britain for Street Fighter! I also think it’s a real shame that the Japanese E-Capcom bonus disc of the top players and the training sessions are not included with subs for The US and Europe - and it’s odd considering Arc System Works went to town on their BlazBlue Calamity Trigger S.E - which included tips and insights from the pros into playing the characters in a niche title. With such a huge audience for Street Fighter I find it ashame that there’s not more encouragement from the collector’s editions to promote this to their own community of fans.

I’m also looking for the iphone cover deal (interested in the E Honda one as he’s my main), but I haven’t seen anything on this yet. With Game.co.uk doing the costume pack bonus and shopto/hut doing T-shirts, it leads me to suspect that we’re waiting on Play.com, HMV.com and Amazon.co.uk to make up their minds.

The Super Street Fighter IV (Dojo Edition) is is great but I missed out on it

The contents of that USB drive will be online two seconds after the game comes out; gym bag is pretty nice, though. Not ā€œanother copy of the game for another platformā€ nice, but still.

Actually, the Japanese version of SF4 for 360 was RF.

hey man, thx for taking the time to help. i got another question. i look around here and some dude made a thread saying how his TE stick not functioning, dont know where that thread go but then i go over to TECH TALK and theres like 11 pges of ā€œTE STICK BUTTON ISSUESā€ā€¦ wassup with that?

you sure the SSF4 ARCADE FIGHTSTICK tourny edition s is good? oh ye. are there just one version of arcade fightstick tournemtn edition S or are there like A B C and stuff? is S the best one out there or what? just curious.

P.S i never use any other stick other then a MAS in my life so dont hate me.

The Madcatz TE and Hori RAP3 are pretty much the standards in default sticks to use without any real mods to them. I have the SE version myself and because of the price difference, I had to go get a Sanwa stick and buttons which in the end, adds up to the price of a TE edition. People prefer Madcatz since the wires are not soldered together but have quick disconnects(easier to swap out parts).

The only difference that I see between the TE and the S edition is that the S edition has gotten rid of the white sides at each end of the stick, other wise, it should be the same stick with Sanwa parts and quick disconnects.

I want a collection edition with an arcade stick like the tekken 6 arcade stick edition

I own two TE Round 1 FightSticks and have never had any issues with the buttons sticking. The build quality has definitely improved from when the TE FightSticks initially launched. If yours does stick just call up Mad Catz or you can probably even fix it yourself since the FightSticks are easily to open up and mod.

The TE S just came out and is the latest version (basically a slimmer version of the TE). Before the S there is the Round 1 and Round 2 FightSticks (there are no differences between these except for the artwork).

To answer your last question, yes the TE S would be considered the best. For only $132, it’s a great price!

Edit: The PS3 TE S (White) went up to $140! The TE S (Black) is still available for $132 though.

Hey can someone tell me if this offer is legit? http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PS3-Super-Street-Fighter-IV-4-ENG-JAP-Language_W0QQitemZ320503585240QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4a9f8099d8
I want this version of the game because i dont want the english voices also when im doing the trails for characters will the moves be in english or japaneese i want everything in english except the voices

I personally wouldn’t order from eBay, who knows when you’ll get it.

Also, thought this was funny: ā€œImportant note to buyer: We take photo on our real stock. Not like other seller who just using official photo. We have real stock in hand. We can ship within 12-24 hours once payment received.ā€ and they use a stock photo up top.

Looks like you’re from Toronto, Canada…I would recommend you get it from Best Buy Canada. The standard SSF4 retail version will have Japanese voices and everything will be in English.

(PS3) - Pre-Order $39.99 + Free Shipping (after $5 off instant discount)
