Hey, if CvS2 Cammy is they’re plan, then that’s a much better step in the right direction. I don’t think anyone would be mad about that.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I didn’t really like CVS Cammy all that much. I actually like her current playstyle. Air-to-ground assault is more fun than safe spiral arrows for me. That, and… I think CVS 2 Cammy just had -too- many good normals. Like… was there a bad button to press with CVS 2 Cammy?

I never really played cvs2, but I’ve watched it and its just not my style. I liked how cammy is, she doesn’t need any changing. Even the easier combos is unneeded. Easier combos just means more scrubs trying to use her.

IMO Arcade/Vanilla fighters are beasts compared to the rest of the casts ATM do to safer moves and better pokes and many have good reversals like cam. Is why for the second year the top 32 in Evo where pretty much just arcade chars and that is the biggest tourny in the world as the SBO are just arcade and just about ransoming someone out for two rounds, heck last year a pure Cammy made it there besides SK who pulled her out to shenanigans someone.

All this hype about Soko in Japan but he misses combos all the time and his opponents rarely option select like they would against Rufus. For real Cammy and other console characters are all new to them it seems.

I don’t get it, if Rufus and Yun can dive kick what is the issue? Rufus’ dive kick takes 1 less frame to get off but if you play both it recovers much much faster. Focus attack is pretty much guaranteed against Cammy but impossible against Rufus.

Also one thing people don’t get is anything aside from instant dive kick can get reacted to pretty easily. Option select will beat anything she has but if Cammy has to go into the air to do even a delayed cannon strike, anyone especially a good player can nail that consistently. Even worse they can focus attack it on reaction for a crumple.

All this hype about her improvements, but her cross up is a liability most of the time do to such light hit or block stun and being slow and her other moves are just as slow and if you have the reflexes to cannon spike stuff, she is down.

Others are nerfed too…I can meaty a lot of the cast on wake up and win/trade in my favor but so can all other characters.

This is assuming it is a specific height, which it must be to veto that motion all together. Heck I can do delayed TKS regularly but TKS is her number 1 mind game and her best mix ups. After a throw, after a FA to combo, after a FA to reset, after touching a grapler at all you must do it as your only other option is jump back.

But all characters have options against it, just like Rufus. A lot of top players alt Cammy but they don’t play her much at tourny, they play arcade characters. Heck Diego got owned playing her in Europe and he played her a lot and J wong could have busted her out for Evo.

Oh well, I feel if it has to be done high it is much like taking away Ryu’s fireball or Honda’s safe reversal headbutt of many other class defining moves.

Yeah, if combos are easier she has more + frames but + frames on block are more important. and someone said earlier about close HK but that is death on hit so it can’t get to much better on block after the change.

Well I?m gona post here form a different perspective. Ive only been playing SSF4 for about 2 ½ weeks, ive played like 2h max of vanilla now I play Cammy and Sagat?Sagats so fn boring.

Normal?s being easier to combo is good news for me, I don?t know why the timing off her FP is so tight (or makotos FP for the matter). Also I think the timing is a lil tight trying to hit confirm off of c.mp and c.mk at max range or my mind could be playing tricks on me.

TKCS I?m not at that execution lv yet so I use it like once every 10 matches only after knockdowns. I don?t mind if its gone if they just make regular CS like cvs2 or the ex ver and hooligan better. Overhead plz lol.

Well just imagine if you have been playing her for over a year and a half ;p Yeah this game takes practice, but once you get it your good and keep working on it. 2 and a half weeks is nothing…there are all sorts of tricks like plinking to do her combos. EIDT; I do notice Cammy’s do stop combos short more than any other character but that is likely do to unsafeness and all cammy’s do that on hit but most links are two frames and they try to hit on frame one so they don’t mess up and hard kick spiral arrow into a blocking opponent. HK spiral arrow probably wont become safe.

Thing many Cammys here can probably relate to is we heard about her ultra two and know it would be the worst ultra in the game and there was an uproar at SRK and Capcom official but some people where like wait and see so no changes to it. Today since it is so punishable and focus breakable the only thing it works on is cross ups on a guess which any Cammy could cannon spike FADC ultra with ultra 1 on a guess and be safer if they didn’t stick anything out.

They may make spiral arrow safe to compensate but every poke in the game beats it clean. So IDK, there is some favoritism for main characters like Ryu, Ken, Chun, and disdain for others like Gen. But we know everyone at that office plays Ryu, per Seth K ;p

I can live without TKCS if Cammy can still low, mid jump CS. If that’s gone too, Cammy is ruined. Easier to combo normals is hardly a buff since if you make 2 frame link—>3 frame link it really doesn’t improve her potential at all since Cammy is full of links already. I don’t want safe Spiral Arrow pressure game, Cannon Strike was perfect for me, shit was fun. I still wonder why Rufus can have his easy to execute braindead dive kick game, there really is no reason why it can’t be also a qcb-motion move, shit would be a lot more legit.

This is terribly bad news. Nerfs after nerfs to almost the entire cast, instead of buffs to those who need them. And no TKCS for my main Cammy? WTF? I refuse to play Yang or Yun. Fuck those boyz.

I agree with this. She was like a fighter plane in woman form.

As of late, it seems like Capcom likes to reduce the options of a good character than increase the options of a bad character.

yep that’s what we call the easy route. i don’t wanna say capcom is lazy…but this arcade release just seems riddled with questionable ideas and quick, poorly thought out decisions…

Minor buffs is only needed, like Makoto’s Ex-hayate gaining armor break or Dudley’s sweep being a little faster. This is not adjustment, it’s breaking down the entire game as of it is now. Someone said removing TKCS equals taking Ryu’s fireball, I say that’s a bit extreme. More like taking away FADC from DP, it nerfs damage and options potential, like taking away TKCS.

I like that idea. Lets make it so dp fadc ultra 1 ryu no longer works. If they did that I would totally accept no tkcs

If they take out her TKCS, they better give her something to compensate for it. Making it overhead or giving it more hitstun would be good. Or even a CS out of hooligan or a safe lk SA.

Still this is pretty ridiculous and if they’re really worried about meter build from TKCS, then they should just make it so no meter is gained from whiff. Easy.
