-add armor break to Cannon Spike
-reduce recovery time on spiral arrow by like 1 frame
-and the normals being easier to make combos with
That’s all that I wanted to see, but instead they go ahead and fuck up TKCS…but then again isn’t TKCS only possible because of game storing inputs for pad players and consoles in general? Maybe that change won’t happen if they apply these changes to the console version. At least I hope. But still…arcade is fucked for Cammy.
If the changes do all stay (which I definite hope they don’t; seriously, which serious player thought she needed EASIER links? they’re piss easy), I’m probably just going to make Marvel 3 my main game, would be fun to learn a VS game.
She has a lot of strengths outside of TKCS. And if you lose the regular one, remember, the EX-one can still open up throw games like a can-opener, and can lead to ultra 1.
She still has awesome damage, combos, anti-air capability, amazing footspeed, far-reaching and hard-hitting normals, a strong throw game, etc.
I can see why TKCS being removed would piss off a lot of folks. It’s a surgical tool for me, but if I have to burn meter for it, so be it. I think her lk crossup helped her more than anything, along with the farther reaching standing RH.
She’s still totally viable. It’s a matter of whether or not you can enjoy the adjustment in playstyle. That’s -if- TKCS will still be removed. It all depends on how high her CS can be done from. You can -still- tag throw games with it, and make people scared.
Playing Cody and being on the receiving end of Cammy has shown me just how scary she can be when you’re not her. She’s not as easy to control as you think, even with TKCS out of the picture. Having the power to alter jump-arcs means she has many ways to get in. Once she does, it’s game time, baby.
Cammy is a member of my starting five( Ryu, Gen, Guile and Dan are the rest) and even though I can’t do the TKCS reliably, I still enjoy using it scare people. She’s my girl and I’m not gonna drop her no matter what. But it may be time to brush up on Chun-Li and Sakura.
AuLord, I’ll stake my game on you, sir. You definitely know what you’re talking about so I’ll keep hope alive that -if- we do lose tkCS Cammy’s still viable. My love for Cammy is too strong to drop her period, so I guess I’ll have to make lemonade with Capcom’s stale and questionable lemons…
fuuuuuuuuuuuuu, i really hope this is some false information and tkcs is still left in the game.
TKCS plays a very huge role in my playstyle with Cammy. If they take it out, she’s not even worth relearning anymore. Her mix-up game, baiting tatics, full on rushdown pressure, timing on wake up, Option-select, and tech throw mix-ups is now all gone. Using a EX meter to do a TKCS is a waste of meter IMO. EXTKCS to option select? FUUUUUU, that’s seriously some BS.
The worst part of this is that Yun/Yang could only divekick at the apex of their jump in 3s. In SSF4 Arcade, Yun/Yang have a Rufus style divekick while Cammy can now only do hers at the apex of her jump it sounds like.
If true this would fully surpass the butt pounding that Gen received in Super.
We’re not talking about a damage nerf, or the removal of comeback-ability or a nerf in ability to zone we’re talking about a complete change to the way a character plays through the subtraction of a very base bread and butter attack. I can only hope this is these Japs lame attempt at humor. I mean South Park showed us they all have small penises but is this overcompensation via fucking over a “Popular in America” character necessary???
It seems the intent was to just stop the free meter building. They seem receptive to the opinions of top jap players and the cammy players have to be giving them hell over it.
This seems like one of those changes that will end up being reverted, but just building no meter at all on whiff. Wishful thinking maybe.
