No notes on improved anything for Cammy. Just the CS nerf and the hk arrow nerf.
I’m really wondering who it was that reported “better comboability” on her normals. In fact, the opposite seems true when looking at the change to heavy arrow - it will no longer do both hits from as far as it currently does. So staple combos such as cr.hp cr.mk SA and st.mp cr.mp SA most likely won’t have hk arrow hit twice anymore. It might even apply to basic 3 lights to hk SA too, which would be pretty crippling. Finishing with heavy arrow lets Cammy stay close enough to actually threaten with crossups after combos, and losing this (or losing out on ~40-50 damage) would hurt pretty bad.

Although I did notice some nice new changes to other characters, including Balrog no longer being able to headbutt -> U1. It would still seem like a tough fight though.
I think HK SA nerf is really bad, if you fuck up your link and do HK SA on block, you cannot FADC it anymore since it’s the first hit that’s cancellable. That’s some pressure game lost right there. In current SSF4 you can do a long hit confirm into HK SA and even if opponent is blocking, you’ll create a mixup situation but that’s gone if HK SA isn’t 2 hits anymore from long range. It also takes away super canceling possibilities, fuck this shit. Poking got nerfed real hard if HK SA nerf sticks. Damage wise the nerf is not so bad, option/hit-confirm/mix-up wise it’s a disaster.
There’s enough TKCS qqing for all Cammy players and fans.
The HK SA nerf is really bad if ForumSkill’s post is accurate about not being able to FADC it.
And I don’t really care if her normals are easier to combo. Sure some of them are a challenge compared to other characters, but I like that about Cammy. She’s not an easy-mode character. It just sounds like Capcom wants to make her an easy-mode character that’s more useless than useful. It makes me wish they did this in the current game so i wouldn’t have wasted my time and money on a TE.
Or maybe we’ve all been playing Cammy wrong in Capcom’s eyes. Fuck that. I’ma TKCS til I can’t no more and when I can’t do that and the HK SA is useless, then I guess it’s time to move on to the next time waster that won’t be SSF4A.
I’m sure you can FADC HK SA but what people are saying is that it’s harder to get 2 hits with it. It all comes down how close you have to be to get 2 hits. If max range c.mk xx HK SA or 3 light attacks xx HK SA only gives 1 hit then Cammy is officially fucked up. I don’t mind low regular Cannon Strike that much. Being able to EX-TKCS and mid Cannon Strike is enough since Cammy’s basic block string/wake-up pressure uses mid strikes/cross-up mixup.
Lmao, Ryu’s DP got major nerf in super. Pretty much every Ryu mainer would take vanilla SF4 shoryuken back if they could. Anti-airing with deep DP’s is a pain compared to vanilla and damage is lower when FADC’d. Capcom is taking away Ryu’s air tatsu-escape, lol…what the fuck goes in your mind talking shit about Ryu not being nerfed ever. Let me guess you jumped in “Hate-Ryu bandwagon” and never even thought about the matter, you put on mimic-mode because it’s cool to hate OP-Ryu…OMFG

Seriously dude, do you even know what you are talking about? DP global nerf? WTF, Ryu lost invincibility from hp srk and mp srk is used now, but it’s angle makes it a lot harder to use. You still didn’t understand what I was talking, if you state Capcom does not nerf Ryu ever, what does that fucking mean? Think about it a second, and now you are admitting Ryu’s nerfs are not as bad as other chars.
