No no, level|up rigged that double KO

01:39:48 - John Choi (Guile) Vs CJ Showstopper(Boxer)
01:48:10 - John Choi (Guile/Ryu) Vs Crackfiend (Boxer)

Crackfiend knows the guile matchup to the max, since he’s my brother lol

This is definitely some good stuff here. Hey Warahk, do you use a rhythm or beat with the buttons to tech grabs? I heard Valle or one of the commentators say that Tatsu does some kind of rhythm with his techs. I’m assuming he does some type of constant button tape at a certain point during block strings. I really need to figure out something because that’s a part of my game that really needs improvement. I think if I tighten that up my game would be much better. I would see if you could find out what Tatsu does but I’m not sure if he would be willing to share that type of information. Any tips would be helpful though.

Tatsu and i are friends, lol. Anyway, tatsu techs super late, like at the last possible frame, this makes it harder to throw him. Teching is REALLY important, ideally you want to be teching on reaction.

lol nice matches

they’re talking so much shit about you during the fights lol

but if you only play online, you need to get it out of your head that it’s completely your fault. it’s probably not. i was pulling my hair out when it came to teching ryu until i recently played someone who lived so near to me that there was no lag. i managed to tech so many ambiguous setups (just by doing the tap throw on block technique) that he stopped trying because i was teching him so well.

it’s one of the major problems with online and the main reason that i now take a much more lighthearted perspective when i’m playing.

I have the exact same problem. It’s hard to keep a “lighthearted” perspective about it though.

me in a tourney. I was dropping links like no tomo…

Had some games with some good players last night. GG’s to Warahk, our mirrors were fun and fast paced. This is me against Shizza in a tournament. I put him in losers and he came back and won the whole thing.
Our match starts at 9 minutes

GGs! be more patient!

It’s funny that I know that’s my main issue but it’s still so hard to overcome. Since guile’s normals got better I feel more confident up close so I try to fight. I know guile is a zoner though. I gotta find the balance.

haha yea, they’re all a bunch of meanies =(

Heres the 1st part of the set I had with Dfw Jay, a Blanka player. Any tips appreciated. ;3

Two matches from last nights tournament. I know against Gief I didn’t know the matchup and took too many risks jumping in and jumping far too much. The guy knows how to play Gief so I tried to keep it a little random since I have almost zero Guile vs Gief matchup experience.

I also need to use cr.fierce more and against guys like Gief and Dudley I’m not comfortable doing a lot of combos because if I drop it it’s a counter hit combo for big damage. Random flashkicks I need to cut down on but I feel like I can read them pretty well sometimes.

No tips really necessary. Good solid play, and it worked!

Not only that, but you walk yourself into the corners, you don’t apply pressure of any sort when you put them in the corner, your Ultras are as random as your FKs and you don’t cancel your FKs even when you have meter. If your opponents knew what they were doing in the slightest you’d have been lucky to win a round, let alone 2 sets, with that kind of play. I’m not saying this to insult you, that’s just what I see from the videos here.

Those players aren’t bad.

I threw one out for chip to get him anxious. Not the best usage for it but during gameplay I could tell he was getting antsy. Something you can’t tell from watching the video from your PC. Regardless, I played poorly.

I don’t know if my other matches were recorded. Those two were 2/3 of the matches I played like shit. I admit I was surprised I won them too for as bad as I was playing.

What I’m interested in is how do you go about pressuring Gief? It’s extremely unsafe. So I’d like to hear how/why you would pressure him like that.

Tutorial for Flash Kick>FADC>(Back Dash)>Sonic Hurricane.

I managed to finish the tutorial ahead of schedule. I tried to make it simple so it should be easy to follow. After messing around with this in the lab for a while, I found that this really isn’t that hard to do when you practice it. More seasoned Guile players should be doing this pretty consistently within a couple of days. Hope this helps!

One of me vs Ibuki.(!!!turn volume down!!! something in my conversion software.) sorry in advance.

I beat vegita-x to win a tournament on fri.

followed it up with some pretty terrible play in today’s tourney, but my set with one of the best giefs in the country was pretty well played by me I think. Ill post the vid asap.

Nice video!!

Dash Forward ultra still works after flashkick FADC, just have to hold onto FA for a bit longer than usual (could be character specific too but i’ve been hitting many ppl with my flashkick FADC dash forward ultra, even in tourneys). I find it easier on myself than backdash version, although backdash ultra is needed if your opponent is in the corner for sure, so eventually I gotta learn this myself.
