When he does lose, strangely enough, it’s usually against lesser competition. That’s what it seems like at least.

I made a number of fundamental errors one of which including doing a c HP and being emtpy jumped. In this match I got away with a number of things. I came 4th during the tournament tourny until i lost to the number one player in Australia. This match will be posted along with my remaining matches during the tournament. @Hoppa Unfortunately, I can’t give you advice or critique since I’m not a Guile player, but I’ll say you did great, you have a very nice Guile.

Here is my match against the number 1 player in australia who i am good mates with. I lost this one and I was condemned to 4th place in the tournament. I played better than expected, but it was clear that he was far better than i am.
I think a lot of Guile players don’t know this but at the start of the 2nd round when he did air ex fb, Guile can nj.hp to beat it. It’ll trade at worse in Guile’s advantage but the important point is that it stops Akuma’s momentum and lets him know that air ex fb is not a free way to start his offense.
Nj.hp also beats most of his offensive air options but I think it sometimes loses to demon palm. I think it’s better if you mix it up with airgrab and they will cut down on their air game. It also beats Sagat’s j.mp clean. Lol I wish I had discovered it earlier in Vanilla days. And if you’re trying to counterhit a FA with s.hp, then always be on the lookout to combo with another hp as most opponents’ FAs move their hitbox into the punch and combos easily into another hp.
His divekick timing is on point and it might be better to just block his demon flip and backdash in the middle of his light attacks. Some Akumas’ timing are not that good and you can dash under their divekick and punish.
I think you played well and it’s only cos of the AA part that you lost cos Akuma is controlling the game with not enough AA from Guile. Hope it helps.

I could be wrong but judging from his vids I’ve seen, Gameouttt looks like he’s out of form on that day. The Sagat player is a very good player who has very good defense imo.

I love gameout’s playstyle. Very aggressive, and I love seeing the risky stuff when it pays off. Also liked the GHK > flashkick punish to the tatsu at the start of the round as well. It’s been something that’s been on my “to do” list for awhile… but I normally just EX flashkick them. Solid play all around though. The fei was kind of trash, but it’s easy to see how good his j.mp is… I still don’t know how to AA that thing consistently. That Sakura was crazy patient. I’m surprised ACE didn’t catch on and start throwing more s.hp, backfists or dash > back throws when he got cornered. Something can be said for it though… I wig out like crazy when I get cornered.
Also, nice matches liang. I’m not sure how good your connection is, but blanka v. guile you should be aiming to slide booms on reaction or make more safe slide attempts. Again… internet sucking is a solid excuse.
It’s funny watching Gameout cuz he does quite a bit of risky stuff but it usually ends up paying off well. I wish he played in the arcades on my side of town but I think he spends his playtime on the other side so I don’t see him much. He’s been messing around with Adon though lately… used him in our recent tourney lol… I was the only Guile ; ; well whatever I got wasted in that tourney lol…
