Rules
We want this tournament to be fun, competetive, and most importantly: QUICK. A lot of players have noticed that past tournaments have been awfully too long. So now we’re going to implement how quickly this goes. Tournament starts at our specified time above. You have 5 MINUTES to begin your first match. If you are a second late, you will be disqualifed. Afterwards, you will have 2 MINUTES for every other match to be ready, and if you’re not…DQ!

Restrictions
U.S. and Canada ONLY!
Exceptions will be made for anyone outside who can keep a constant Ping connection of 0-130 against their specified opponent. If the connection cannot be made, the player within the U.S. and Canada will be favored into an automatic win.
Banned
Akuma
Turbo
Start Color (Apparently it can lagg or disconnect the game. So this will be a no-no!)
Matches
Regular: 3 Rounds, Best of 3 Matches
Finals: 5 Rounds, Best of 3 Matches
Timer On
Speed 3
2 Man Private Room or 3 Man Private Room if w/ Spectator
Microphone OFF
Players will decide amongnst themselves which side each player gets. If they cannot establish something, Tournament organizers will choose for them.
Winner sticks to character. Loser may select someone else. (There is an effective strategy behind this)
Match Spectators
Match Spectators will be deployed in certain matches. Finals WILL have a Spectator. Players can choose to have a Spectator in their match if they ask for one. Please note that if a player asks for one, he/she might not be granted one due to the fact that one might not be available. A Spectator will not be present if both players choose not to have one.
A Match Spectator will record matches and referee. (Check for disturbance in Ping, Connectivity, and use of Turbo.)
Seeding/Ranking
Since this is going to be the first of many tournaments I have hosted, contestants will be randomly placed against each other. I don’t know, I’ll draw names out of a hat or something.
As for Ranking, I will see how this first tournament goes and if it goes well, I will truely create a Ranking system.
Prizes
Because I haven’t fully ran the Ranking system yet, I thought I’d throw in some prizes…YAY! What I’ll do now is issue Tournament points. These points will determine how much you have done for, and in the tournament. Who knows, I might one day make it an option to trade in points for something worthwhile like SRK Premium Membership or a membership to some other type of website wink wink.
Grand Prize (Winning the tournament UNDEFEATED in a Match) - 100pts
1st Place - 50pts
2nd Place - 30pts
3rd Place - 15pts
Match Spectator - 5pts
Every Contestant - 5pts
Reporting
If you suspect someone of cheating, DO NOT call it out in the Tournament Chat. Doing so will get you disqualified. Send all reporting to the Tournament Organizers via PM.
NEED TO KNOW!
Remember folks, this is PSN! With this said, you all can’t expect perfect matches. Tournament organizers will try to make it as perfect as possible, but we really can’t control much. I just thought it sounded cool saying that. Anyways, you can’t expect very low Ping if you are playing someone on the opposite coast, so no beating yourself down if you lose. That’s the experience of online-gaming.
