How you plan on distributing the money? Akuma banned? 3/5?
Money can be distributed how ever the winner wants it. Obviously the easiest way would be Pay Pal, but those that don’t want that I can do cleverly hidden cash in an envelope or whatever. If you are in the DC area, I could give it to you in person.
Not sure about Akuma yet. The community seems split on him. I may put it up to a vote before the start of the tourney. As it stands now, I say he’s in, because he hasn’t been banned by the community at large yet.
Game will be double elim, best 2/3 rounds, best 2/3 games until semis, then best 3/5 rounds, 3/5 games.

Nope, no entry fee. This will be coming out of my own pocket. That’s why it won’t be a HUGE sum of money. I guess if there was enough interest in bigger tournies, then that could be an option in the future. But it’s XBL, so I wouldn’t count on it, lol.

If it works, it works. I use the AJAX-based client called Mibbit for my site, and it works very well. Just thought it might be worth looking into.
Also… no entry fee. I’m alright with that. Kinda lame that you’re paying up outta pocket, but I won’t complain too much. :lol:
Unless if I’m working (I’m presently an unemployed full-time student, so who knows if I’ll have work by then), I should be getting in on this. (aka I should be tourney fodder for the pros.)

Date will be Saturday, February 7th, 2009. Time will more than likely be 5 PM EST. That’s subject to change, but it’s 90% that it will be at that time.
We’ve actually be looking at something else besides the site I posted previously. It uses some kinda AJAX chat thing. Seems to work pretty well.
About the entry fee, I figured I would see what the turnout is for this one, and maybe see about entry fees for the next one. Entry fee = bigger prizes, so that’s always plus. Then again, it’s XBL, so not sure people would want to put in a entry fee to play in an online tournamet.
If a lot of people enter this, I’ll probably join. No entry fee too… sounds good to me
