SSF2THDR on PC?

http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=1045

Hope this hasn’t been posted before, but it looks like they have put in a marketplace for ‘Games for Windows Live’, basically XBL but for PC.

With this in mind I wonder what the chances of at least some of the more popular XBL Arcade games being ported to work with it.

I am hoping they put SSF2THDR, is there a better acronym for this?, on it, not having or really wanting a 360 for anything else, and the only friend that has one doesn’t want to get it as it is ‘just the same old street fighter’(he has HF), it would be the only way I would get to play it.

Plus killing time till SF4 comes out.

You think they will bother to port XBL Arcade to this?
Or just try with full versions and compete with Steam?

I use STHD and nobody has been confused as to what I am talking about so far.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Since Games for Windows Live is free and supports cross platform play, there’d be no reason for me to keep paying for Xbox Live when I could play HD Remix and SF4 for free on my computer. The ball is in Capcom’s court now.

Basically, from the threads on capcom-unity, there are no plans for a PC release, however ‘never’ is a long time.

Really?

Lame, all I really wanted it for was to pass the time till SF4.

Guess I will just have to wait till it comes out on PC, February is the console and the PC release is supposed to be a month or so after that I think.

If it comes out on PC it would hurt sales cause everyone would just pirate it. Maybe not you but, the rest of the world probably would. :wgrin:

stfu about piracy already
it’s a fake problem and has been discussed time and time again

why does every one keep shouting out that piracy will be a huge issue. Unless you like playing by yourself, no way you are getting online with a hacked copy!

You’re saying this on a forum where probably most people think STHD is actually better than SF4!

People usually make Private servers and things for people that have cracked versions.

You are exactly right even if one person pirates it… that’s not hurting sales… nope.

People that pirate games probably wouldn’t buy them in the first place.

autofire and macro scrubs, as long as they dont come onto xboxlive I’m happy…

people make cracked servers for games that have a server edition package (FPS games mostly).

Capcom will only need their own matchmaking server, because the actual game is p2p and doesn’t need a worldwide infrastructure like for FPS games.

same invalid points made time and time again. someone close this thread already

I think the gap will be closer to 6 months since the PC ports of Lost Planet and Resident Evil 4 came out around 6 months after the console releases.
