SSF2T HD Remix Tournament - Monday July 20th 2009

I see that there are 4 Boxer’s total. Can’t wait to see what other Boxer’s the PSN has to offer. I very rarely run into them when I’m playing online  You guys better bring it. Cuz my Boxer sure as hell is

Cool, this is like Evo after Evo. Congrats to Afro Legends, John Choi and damdai in order for placing in the top 3.

Heh, wonder if we’ll see Boxer more. There were some great matches in the final brackets. I learned a lot of things from the commentary.

Afro was pretty impressive, and bold with the ticking. Choi proves that a solid strategy and execution goes a long way, even without the shenanigans (as Seth calls it).

I’m looking forward to attending for the 1st time at next year’s event.

I might as well join too if I still can, my names GabbSDF, I play a scrubby Ken

Uh oh. . .

Titan, I still have that problem where I can’t join invites.

Can I add Ryu as my second char, I didn’t really understand why people were putting 2 names, but now I see. I will most likely not use my second, but might as well have the option.

There are ways to filter the results so you can see only lobbies with 2 players, so maybe that approach will work. I’m willing to try it…show up early if you can so I can check it out with you.

That’s right… You can put two in your list, but if you list only one you can only use the one. It gives you a little flexibility when it comes to matchup problems. I’m looking to avoid creating pools full of the same characters, too.

Yeah I don’t have a problem joining games, its just that I can’t join through an invite, I have to go through search. If someone tells me they are creating it, and I can keep refreshing search until it pops up though.

deadpool_zero: honda/rog

Thanks, Coth_X. I added a note to Match Making Protocol for those who may have this problem. The use of invites isn’t required, but it is usually the most convenient method. Still possible to use lobby searches.

I’m kind of confused on the pool play scheme. What exactly does the pool determine?

Thanks for the reminder…i really did almost space this hahaha!

Seconded. With the tournaments over the weekend, KOF12 possibly being shipped today, etc, totally forgot!

By the way, as a secondary, please put down Honda. I doubt if I’ll use him, but since we can have one, he’s it.

(Second to Claw, my main).

Anywho, I’m still able to attend this, as far as I know.

Man, doesn’t anybody watch the World Cup (soccer) or the Olympics (basketball)? This was covered in the first post.

Advancing from Pool Play: Ideally, we will have four pools with the top 2 finishers from each pool advancing to the bracket, but there are other possibilities depending on the number of players. Pool results will be used to develop a rough bracket seeding. 1st Tiebreaker: head-to-head result. 2nd tiebreaker: one 3-round game.

Would you like me to record the bracket fights?

I figured it would be a smart thing to do. I should have been putting reminders out on PSN as well. With EVO this weekend, SRK wasn’t available most of the day.

er in that case can I add a scrubby Ryu to my Ken as well?

also I sometimes can’t join invites, but I can do that room filter trick you guys are talking about

By the way, only 16 people can join a PSN chatroom. So it’s probably best to leave the chatroom after you get your next-match info. You’ll avoid that pop-up stuff during the match this way as well.

Thanks for offering…

It would be a big help if one person in each pool recorded and reported the results to me. ktm offered to assist in a previous thread, so if you help in your pool then its looking good.

The bracket is pretty easy using bracketmaker.com: http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=331378
