Well I played 300 matches yesterday without much rest 2 bathroom breaks, I played with my buddy and I must say it was epic playing a friend you know in real life and facing him online in HD REMIX! I do not understand what you guys are saying about lag and shit… I have not had any disconnections against my friends or against anyone online, the only reasons would be your net had a error, your modem, or the fact that it could have happened to the person you were facing!.
I must say this game is epic it eats any online fighter that has ever touched a console platform! I think the net code is very smooth the game ran UBER smooth for me it only lagged one time for like 2 seconds out of 300 matches i played. I think they did a good job. I would not play this on the 360 i think its crap on there PSN BABY!
I give this game and the online a perfect 10, its amazing playing on arcade sticks its a must. The game will be blown open soon when combo videos start coming out, my only fear is that its not as balanced as hoped. I hope we do not see any god tiers or anything lol. Some combos feel nurfed but new set ups combos and easier moves fill the slot. I just hope there is no bullshit. I also cant wait to see some character specifics that is when we see how well sirlin has worked on everything. If there is any problems i am sure we will see updates!
EWWW fake sanwa parts, order some stock buttons and a gate from simetsu you will be good to go! make sure the gates a LS32 and not that 4 corner american trash.
I disagree there is no way the tier list is the same man its a new game new combos tiers are going to change after tournaments world wide that is a GIVEN.
combos arent essential ? lmao ok… don’t know how that makes sense, i wont connect combos i see in a combo video ??? why would that be i played for 6 hours yesterday both me and my friend and people i see online were doing some of those combos, i did kens new super shoryuken combo and i have faced someone who did feilongs.
Sounds to me like you need some practice or have no stick or a stick with american parts thats the only thing that comes to mind with your statement. When are combos not essential in a fighting game ???

Umm yeah, tell me about it. That’s why I’m getting the modded stick next week with the REAL parts (i.e. the stick described after “soon”).
For the record, I have a custom stick with Seimitsu stick/buttons, but it is very light and lifts off the table unless I somehow restrain it or myself, so the Tekken stick’s heavier base works for me for now. I’m better with bat-tops vs ball tops.
Also have the SFA PS2/Xbox stick, but it didn’t play nice with my Pelican last time I tried.:sad:
ST combos that you see in a combo vid aren’t exactly practical. Those are all done with a programmable pad. Just fyi.
And yes, the tier list is still the same. Nothing is really gonna change. The changes were only made to compress the gaps and make the match ups a little bit better.
Funny thing is, I don’t land combos and I win. And I place in actual tournies. You just have to have good execution and know when to react. If ST was all about combos, we’d be seeing those 100% combos that show up in your favorite combo vids.
yea i understand what your saying about the combos, I tend to do the same thing because you need to use normal and special moves to zone and win matches ect.
I just think the tiers will change not drastically like you said but I think at least one character must have been nurfed in the process of making the game, and there has to be one character that shines among the others a far as character vs character match ups go… I think it will be bison or chun li maybe even deejay.
The character that has been nurfed i think would be vega or feilong due to chicken wing set up being nurfed even tho he has a better flame kick and the fact that vega is less WHOReass even tho he has a fake grab set up now.
Claw isn’t nerfed at all. So what if wall dive can’t knockdown? It still hits and leaves him at fair distance to space with either s.MK or c.MP. And his fake wall dive adds even more to the metal game because now it either baits or sets up throw situations and the like. I main Claw, so I’m expected to know this as of day one. His ground is extremely good. Watch any real high level ST matches and you’ll notice that Claw never throws out wall dive unless he knocks down off a sweep. It’s all risk and very little reward if your opponent can reversal DP like Daigo.
If you really wanna look at characters that seem a bit better than usual, then look no further: Ryu, Gief, Blanka, Guile, Cammy. Does it move them up the tier ladder? Probably not, but it makes their match ups a bit easier now. Shit, I’ll even throw Honda in that mix cause of easier ochio throw and jab headbutt.
Those are the characters that are going to stick out. The match ups won’t look 7:3 or 8:2 anymore, but more along the lines of 6:4. That’s what Sirlin was looking to do with the game and he accomplishes that. He even said the point was to not rebalance the game completely to the point where T.Hawk would be god tier, but to make them a lot more competitive against other characters in which they have bad match ups.
Yeah I wish we could play under better conditions, you seemed like a strong player. Are you the same guy that won the recent SF4 qualifier in Japan, but got hosed out of it somehow?
It’s probably from the distance, though it could be both. I can play Japan no problem on GGPO, but that might not be the case with HDR. Try getting at Azreal to test things out, he’s got it in Japan.
On a side note, you played pretty damn good in that lag lol. There was one time where your Vega was on the other side of the screen and all of the sudden I got railed in the face by nothing heh.
