I must be one of the other ones. Yeah, when I hear they might of selected Ryu, Ken or Akuma in ranked matches I make sure I choose Sim.

I told Luigi I hadn’t lost a match in four hours, then I remembered I hadn’t lost a match since Saturday … until I played Glacialedge. Not sure if I’ve seen his name around here, but definitely a beast with every character he picks. Awesome games to him – he had my Chun working overtime to keep him from beating me.

GGs Angrynord, your Bison is teaching me more and more about that matchup…good stuff!! Get good with Dhalsim too, as there’s a shortage of good players for some damn reason. If he wasn’t so slow and didn’t require so much patience, I’d play him too.
GGs Haksakoun, HavocZ and TheSomethingOne, I forget his name but he was owning my Dee Jay with his Honda as well as pretty much creaming everyone else in the room. Damn, Honda is a really hard matchup for Dee Jay in the right hands. GGs to everyone else in that room, was good comp for sure.

As dumb as this sounds I am wondering something. I’ve been playing some ranked matches here and there and also trying to squeeze in some tourney’s.
My questions is this, I seen many people in the friendly match area playing games. Is the friendly area a place where you really don’t bring your A game and you kind of go to just practice and not take it too seriously OR are people playing in the friendly area just because its not worth it to really try on the ranked matches and get screwed by DC’s and lag and whatever have you?!!
I ask because I joined the friendly because there was a crap of people in there but I found myself really bringing it to win and other people just picking different characters and so forth. Thats when it hit me that I may be an asshole for picking my strong characters and playing to win as opposed to just trying to get better with some of my other characters who need work.
I feel kind of bad…
I usually go random select or play characters I think could be fun in friendlies, at least until one of the better SRK heads pop in.
This. random or fun character till someone I know jumps on, if they do.
if i’m playing people i know on srk i play to win, only switching my chars if i think i have a better chance to win. if i’m playing random people adn they are good i’ll play to win, if i’m taking them to school with my mains than i’ll play around a bit

Coolness. Your answer is kind of what I thought. I will kind of do the same, well thats what I did in fact. If I was schooling them then I go away from my main fighter and practice with my others who need work like Ken.

Me personally, I suck ass at this and many other fighting games. It can be for a few different reasons, but I think the main one is that I don’t have a main character I use. I use M.Bison more than anyone else, but not enough to where I’ve gotten REALLY solid with him. So I just go around the character select screen pickin folks. I do that in friendlies because anyone else is gonna play to win…with that ONE character. Maybe 2. And I want to experience a lot of different matches where other characters are used so I can see these characters used properly and I can get closer to getting a main character for myself.
The only thing is, I win too much in friendlies so i’m not seeing characters used properly there. Maybe I was too harsh when I said I sucked ass. I’ll say i’m very decent. But most of yall would toss me up like frisbees.**
