As a Honda player, I hate playing Guile. Can’t get in at all. Gotta try to bait the shit out of the flash kicks while still trying not to getting hit by the sonic booms. So wack.

Only real counter character is Ryu. Boxer has a good chance, but Ryu just has it so much easier. And you have to realize, this is online also, which means dropped inputs and lag spikes. It happens on GGPO, so my usual DP motions get turned into a fireball half the time or nothing comes out at all.
And then there’s the fact that everyone is playing him a little too brain dead. Nobody is going for sumo splash or meaty setups. Just get random with him. And they still made him even more brain dead than before. Shit, nobody’s even going for ochio throw mixups. So I end up expecting niggas to take Honda to the next level and I just sit there expecting more and I’m like, “Fuck this, might as well play Boxer and be a dick.”
Handslap input is a whole different story now. You could read those a lot better in vanilla ST, but now they’re just too good up close in STHD. Can’t even reaction DP that shit until you get the timing down and how many of these scrubs aren’t being random enough to practice timing?
Koop is the only real good Honda I’ve played both online and off. That’s my standard for a Honda player and I’m already used to playing to that standard. I can’t dumb my game down when I’m already accustomed to high level ST.

Aight guys, whats all this complain about Honda??? Im going to solve this problem once and for all. I really need to understand this Gief Vs Honda match up, I got a good understanding of all the matchups, but Honda, how come a character can beat my main character with just LP and Random Torpedos?? and there is one thing that i really like about Honda, He is the only character that i cant get cornered, as a Zangief player i like to end round in 10-15 seconds once i corner my opponent, but Hot Damn i cant do that to Honda thanks to his JAB Torpedo.
so im going need some other Gief player that knows this match up, and 2 Good Honda player, to solve this thing, so instead of complain, im going to practice against some good Honda players, and if Honda is your Main character, i can play Ryu so you can practice that match up too. so is a win, win situation.
Oh, and GGs to TheGreench, good Gief player, this guy is like a vaccum you cant get close to him. ggs last night. we gotta try that Ryu Vs Zangief again. i might need you as my partner for this event.
